Myself I see trading as a form of gambling even though skill is more useful in trading luck is also an element. It also depends on your trading strategy if it is just day trading or buying a coin and holding till the right time to sell then luck comes into play.

Yes, in trading, luck is also an important element, just like in gambling and many other things in the world. Even though a person has become a trading expert, there is no guarantee that he will always get what he wants.

Somehow. A sort of but not totally. Trading is also very risky and if you unlucky your coins can be hacked in an exchange accounts. Trading needs skills also but enethough they are skillful in this area losing is still inevitable. You would know, no one knows as prices is very unpredictable.
Actually gambling also needs skills. In my country, their is a law that only those gambling related games are allowed online where some sort of skill is used. Most of the sites are twisting the rules for their own benefits and have proved that there are skills required for playing games on their websites. Fact that they are running for years is evidence that the court agrees to this. You need skills if you do a skilled based games. However, most of the gamblers are gambling a luck based games but they think they can make money easily, it's a wrong mentality, when we think that gambling could give easy money, the more we will lose money. yes this is mistake that gambling is make money easily. Gambling is all about of luck to do that. Gambling is easy to get money and easy to lose money too. I prefer to choose trading than gambling. trading need skill and all not depend on luck only Gambling needs skills as well but most of the time we lose in gambling. Trading is something you can master and it can give you a consistent income if you master it, at least you can learn over time if you are willing to develop yourself and put passion on what you are doing. This is the difference among the two on which one do have the capability for it to be learned and can give you the opportunity on making money for long term once you mastered it which can be achieved thru trading and yet this is an investment not an entertainment thing which gambling games do belong. They do have different category but both do give the opportunity on giving profits but the risk factor or level would be always different.

Definitely a bit. Trading is considered by many as educated guessing and kind of a "educated gambling". In trading too, people trade against loads of unknown odds, but here the 'house edge' is the market. There are a lot of known factors that can determine the market, and especially in bitcoin, there can be a lot of unknown variables, as its a decentralized currency and thus is affected by loads of news from around the world. The market might just reverse at any point, depending on the psychological condition of the people, buying or dumping heavily at a certain point.
This is very similar to gambling, where the odds can suddenly turn on you, but the only difference is that you have a bit more kinda 'versatile' control over trading. This is why many might just consider it as gambling.

I think trading will never be considered as gambling because one thing they have the same is only its a source of money. But gambling is not a safe and sure to guaranteed that you will have your money back. Unlike trading you are pretty sure that you will gain money from it if you will be as smarter and wiser like other businessman/businesswoman. Gambling is a matter of luck that you can't improve as time goes by. On the other hand, trading may teach you or I can say that it can be improved through the years all you have to do is to strive for something and try to look for something that can help you to become a good trader.

It's half investing and half gambling. You are investing and hoping a good return or multiple profits and gambling comes in when you invested on coins you are just hoping to be successful.

First of, like in gambling no one can actually predict what will happen next. In gambling it's about what number you will roll or what card will appear next. In trading it's about which coin will be pumped today and which will be dumped. Second, like in gambling, the higher the amount of money you risk in trading the higher your profit might be in case your predictions were right ones.

although actually the game is almost the same, but there is still a difference between the two. when gambling. we can lose all our capital with an instant. but in trading, there is hope for our trade to succeed. and although the price is down, we can do hold to get profit even in a long time

Both gambling and trading always give you chance to recover but it depend on you, if you have the ability to play gambling in a limit and have some good strategy then you can really recover your lost amount, but i think in gambling most of the people instead of recovering their lost amount even lose more and more, in fact they do not play gambling with strategy and planning and they even do not have a good strategy to recover their money that is they instead of recovering then even lose more money.

I do not treat Investing as a game since it is a good and better source of income than Gambling but we don't need to treat gambling as something as bad because the one that is making Gambling a bad face is the people who are losing themselves and getting addicted to it. Gambling even though it is a game of luck, there are still some people who find themselves on it. In investing, it is not always the bright day we can see but we are also seeing the dark days. Everything has its own faces, they're not bad or good it is just us that is making it that way.

I want to know what you guys think about this, I have stopped gambling but still trade so does this mean I am still gambling?? I don't trade on basis of luck I trade using my skills would it still be considered gambling??
Please tell me what do you think.
It could be said it is a gambling, if you put a profit on the base of luck and not based on analysis. While trading requires analysis that makes us know the price will rise or fall. Trading is not a gamble because movement can be predicted using fundamental analysis (based on economic events, politics and other news) or technical (based on mathematical calculations). Trading is Legal accordingly, therefore most large companies and institutional institutions also trade.

And trading is not an entertainment unlike gambling that can also be considered as an entertainment especially when we are playing in games that heavily rely on luck in order to win. That is the big difference, I would trade to make money but I do gamble to have fun since the chance is lower.

Yes trading profits is coming from luck and time but we also need more experience in trading but in gambling it is not necessary it is the little difference between trading and gambling. Then maybe you are just guessing a certain coin to buy and you luckily hit the right coin and bought it cheaper. Mostly traders don't do that they always rely on their technical analysis and fundamental analysis to confirm every trade. I guess trading depends on the mind set of people if you are just buying out of luck then maybe trading for you is the same with gambling. But if you are a professional trader then you take trading seriously and you study and learn how to do it.

If from my view i does not see what you are doing as gambling 1. You know what you are doing 2. You follow a strategy strictly and not just buy and sell 3. Not buying and selling based on luck Based on my views above 3 points differentiate you from gambling and trading. Trading and gambling is just a thin line so some people just use investment as an excuse for gamble.
