To keep it discreet i am trying to find a tall tower that will hold the r4?
Anyone happen to know?

Prefer lots of venting and fans. Sonfar all the ones i found are just a bit to small.

Newegg prefered.

Thanks.

Maybe this one (if put in vertically or put case on the side):
https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Carbide-Clear-Inverse-Tower/dp/B016IAM7D8
Dimensions (L x W x H): 454 x 260 x 535mm

or, maybe this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005ZUZD2K
(for this, not sure as it is in inches)

same on newegg:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0724J90356
or
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147157
not sure why the price difference

R4 (B3,4) dimensions are:
515mm (L) x 100mm (W) x 222mm (H)

Maybe, but fig 4 on this one shows metallic hard drive bays that mess up the space.

Just to give you another option with more space and fans, you could look at the "Cooler Master Cosmos II - Ultra Tower". I have this case myself and you could literally fit anything inside of it since you could disassemble some parts (good for some large equipment's, without the need of cutting any piece down). It's a bit bigger than what you chose in the above post. Also it might be a bit pricey but it's well worth the price, if your going to use it for the right thing.

Why don't you just build a case using some wooden boards (just make the appropriate holes for the fans and attach the wooden boards). You could also paint it so it would look better and at the same time, saves you a lot of money (should take few hrs to make).

I see, it would be a great mining case Smiley
Yes, you could completely remove the hdd racks in order to pave the way for larger equipment. Here's a picture I just took from the manual (hope it would be clear enough): https://i.imgur.com/3Re3QIx.jpg
You can't make it a complete open box since not all the parts are removable. Some parts could be rotated though.

Just make sure that you put the R4 in there horizontally.
If you put it vertically, you may have a problem with the temperatures and the fan is probably not made to last so well in the vertical position. Too much force for the bearings etc.

That case is a NZXT S340
Dimensions   200mm x 474mm x 432mm

No way to fit a R4 in there.

Antminer R4 is already silence as it is, so I'm wondering why you have to have a ATX case for it?

Get yourself a 4U server case that opens on all sides like this one: http://tinyurl.com/jsjeuh8

You could fit a couple in there along with the psu's.

I can only assume its to put in a location where a "miner" isn't allowed by the OP, like at work or something.

Find the biggest case you can (not clear) and cut out all of the insides, so you have an empty shell.

thanks!

Well I'm dr. spock I'm here to rock y'all

It's only for four months Smiley so I'm not overly concerned about the impact on them regardless of how I mount it.

A lot can happen in 4 months...Why not just put it in a bag?

Yeah, it would be a quick and easy solution. And it's only going to be in the bag for a few months.
