The United States is having a population of some 330 million, and therefore it is not very surprising that a proportionate number of mass shootings occur there. That said, the worst incidents of mass shooting have occurred outside the United States. For example, Anders Behring Breivik killed more than a hundred in 2011, in a mass shooting incident in Norway.
