main reason: LAG
second reason: it's the second time the market falls big time mainly because of mtgox

good bye Gox, see you in bankruptcy

This is not some pseudoeconomic post-modern Libertarian cult, it's an un-led, crowd-sourced mega startup organized around mutual self-interest where problems, whether of the theoretical or purely practical variety, are treated as temporary and, ultimately, solvable.
Censorship of e-gold was easy. Censorship of Bitcoin will be… entertaining.

Same here. I am done using MtGox as an exchange until they have a real matching engine, the operational risk is to high. Not being able to cancel orders or getting 30mn later prices when you place a market order is simply unbelievable.

I like their funding and withdrawal system though, so I may still use them as a gateway to move fiat in and out of the ecosystem if they manage to avoid major accidents on that aspect too. Once the cash is in my account, I'll move it to a more decent exchange using redeemable codes and Ripple IOUs when they start supporting it.

They shut down and are close now.

Doesn't matter. There is no more MtGox. All your balances are vanished. Hope you withdrawn already.

Wow people are going to be pissed lol. Shocked

Rumors. I was able to login not 5 min ago and able to access all functions of the site.

Reminds me of high school when people spread bullshit rumors like this.

People get pissed at Bitcoin services all the time.  They don't get pissed enough to stop using them and take their business elsewhere until they lose money by continuing to use them (hell, even then people often continue using them to support them in "recovering" from the consequences of their own incompetence).

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.
