Hi guys

I have an ATI 6970, second hand , and I bought a computer 3200+ double core AMD second hand too, both cheap , for mining bitcoins.

The trouble is that after a hard effort to mount the graphic card, the computer in the windows It seems that appears, but I run guiminer and in device, appears like [0-0] cayman, and it runs just for seconds at 150 khash/s, (very slow) and after a few seconds the screen turns out black, and block windows or even blue windows mistake.

I ran 3dmark yesterday and in the graphics card test it runs well, above 30 fps, but in the cpu test failed because it was 0 or just 1, all in the 3dmark test.

In the other hand, I installed world of tanks, and the graphic card doesnt appear, just primary card, and it runs very slow.

Any help would be very aprecciatte, thanksss!!!

Update your drivers, check gpu temperature.

There is also possibility that you bought 6970 with some of the ALUs burnt.

Thanks for your reply!!!

GPU temp. is Ok, and I think that drivers are updated, because guiminer needs an especific driver, catalyst 12-1 for 32 bits, in order to installs sdk or something so.

Never heard about ALUS of graphic card, is there any software useful to check this?

Besides, we check the graphic card with the game dead rising at the highest resolution, and textures and it worked smoothly.

The question is because game "world of tanks" doesn´t recognise the graphic card, and windows does it?

I´m confused.  Huh
