Whatever you choose, get PGP and use it for all BTC transaction related emails.

Gmail works for me.

I strongly advise against using gmail. Have you not seen the security leaks Google created at instawallet and other online wallets ?
Using gmail is forwarding all your sensitive info to Google.

There are many more safer options > safe-mail, hushmail, lavabit, countermail and riseup being some of them

Just use gpg4win or any other gpg program as said previously so you can manually encrypt your communication.

Actually, all email is basically open. I just like using gmail. Everything that needs to be encrypted, gets encrypted. Everything else, I simply assume everyone can read it.

All work correspondence is also verified verbally and by messaging on private lines and phones. I use gmail as email, for fast communication, for friends, etc. For work, it's simply a notification. I still verify by calling whoever.

Yeah well! Google mail is not much private! But of coarse I'm using gmail too!

Its easier to use Gmail than other email service providers. Its faster and can be used for other things too. If you start using only 1 different email provider for the Crypto currencies then it will be too riskier. It is open and have many ads but it is also easy and fast so Gmail would be preferred.

You people are too paranoid. Gmail is fine for most of you. Theres no need to become a haxor all of a sudden just because we are using BTC. Using a password manager and change your password regularly is more important. Security comes with the effort you put in it.
