I believe that the current BTC price reflects a bitcoin bubble and it will decrease sharply soon.
How can I short sell, given that I currently don't own any bitcoins? Is there any exchange service that offers this feature?

E. g. at SimpleFX you can fund your account with credit card/Skrill/Neteller/Bank transfer. SimpleFX is a Forex where you can also long/short BTC. Good luck. //alex

Indeed, if you are looking back onto the few years before, and that's same like you saying. At 2014 this was happening and it seems like a bubble, just survive for a short time at the rate over $1000. You don't have a bitcoin, and how you think for do a short selling? Borrow? that's bad.

I don't think bitcoin will drop now as you said. However, there many exchange and forex broker that you short bitcoin based on your analysis. You can margin or leverage trade you dollar and bitcoin or other altcoin at poloxien or yobit. Goodluck.

It seems price have already got some correction and support at $950 level is quite high. May be we will see another big pump soon so better to open long position. You can use simplefx where you can open margin position on bitcoin trading.

Seems a wrong speculation. You can wait till bitcoin prices makes a new all time high price levels and that may happen by first week of 2017. Still, continuation of this rally also will be possible if this slow progress keeps on sustaining. How can I short sell, given that I currently don't own any bitcoins? Is there any exchange service that offers this feature?
I have not come across any bitcoin exchange with short functionality as these exchanges are operating based on just 'exchange' rather than 'trading'.

It might be true that the bitcoin will eventually go down in terms of price just like back in 2013, but the current vision for it by many investors and trade experts they that it is not going to the case and the bitcoin is going to keep increasing, as for exchanging bitcoin on the short term then there are many places where you would buy hold for a short tile until the price increases and then sell it you just have to find the right one.

Why you think margin trading is bad? Is there any other opportunity to do short selling then to borrow? In finance, short selling (also known as shorting or going short) is the practice of selling securities or other financial instruments that are not currently owned, and subsequently repurchasing them ("covering") //alex

I think if you already possess bitcoins and sell them in hopes to buy them back up at a lower price that could be considered "shorting", but I have been told that "shorting" only occurs when you are borrowing funds which also corresponds to the Wikipedia entry on the subject.

Actually all this a matter of chance to make buy/sell and turn them into Profit . And you will find every service with updated price . So leave your idea of purchasing BTC in small amount from particular place . I will advice to you to always be careful for the price fluctuations in the Bitcoin market , this will help you lot .
