Pushing ETC to $2.00

I have heard that ETC will be grow even more.
I dont do much forum talk or that stuff. I just mine for fun.

Now my friend is swapping thousands of euros every time and telling me to swap to ETC.
Yesterday he said i should swap to ETH, which I did and it did nicely, but do people think ETC will also keep growing?

Come on? Really? The only place ETH and ETC are going is in the toilet where they belong. Good idea, flawed implementation. I doubt there is any fixing it, as evident by the numerous hardforks.

@quake313. Sadly yes. Ethereum classic also has the same flaws of Vitalik's Ethereum. The good in classic is the continued development is with passion and a desire to fix things. I will not consider it as dead yet if their developers have that kind of motivation.

I don't think so. This current pump of ETC is strange, certainly not caused by organic growth. Come on, over 30% rise in recent 24h? Tell me it is natural.
Soon it will drop massively - don't be baited by whales trying to pump it. There are better altcoin with brighter future to invest: Zcash & Zcoin, Maidsafecoin, Dash, Syscoin.

these two coins are just pure pump and dump coins. you buy at the bottom and dump when they are at maximum pumped price to get out fast and move on to the next coin, there is really nothing more to ETH or ETC that matters enough to call them "growing" or make them worth a real investment.
and them doing nicely has always been temporary before the dumping begins.

And I think you just stated the main problem with ETH as well as ETC...these brothers may soon be sidelined next year as people are looking for their past performance as barometers when it comes to trust. However, I still hope that a way can finally be found to make ETH stable and to fly high.

there are two major problems with ETC:
1) it is an altcoin that is being pump and dumped, which means like any other coin it is going to die after it exhausts its pump cycles.

2) it is ETC! we all know that it is the fork, and we also know and have witnessed manipulators dump massive amounts whenever ETC wants to make a upward movement, killing the pump in its infancy.

there are two major problems with ETC:

You got it the other way around.  ETC is the original chain that was still maintained by a few miners the day Buterin did the hard fork off it.  Technically ETC should be called 'Ethereum' and Buterin's chain should be 'Ethereum Fork'.

Hard to which one will be better to invest for 2017, but I will go with ETC as it is in a bullish mode and we can hear new development from the Chinese community who are interested more into ETC than ETH. ETH has run up and now it seems like correcting and consolidating and I don't see another run soon until problems are fixed by the devs.

That is why you probably didn't hear much of Maidsafecoin recently - as this project is still in alpha phase.

AFAIK Maidsafecoin is in alpha stage, it is not fully completed. Full release is expected to happen at some point in 2017.
Current build has the core features but without Safecoin rewards i.e it is not mineable and with no guarantee of data immutability.

I do believe that ETC equals the ETH marketcap

only early launch ETC can equal and above ETH in marketcap
but after launch ETH still above and gap about marketcap is far in ETC
in dev create coin use ETH token is much dev, but ETC nothing dev create coin use ETC token

so only incraese price is posible, but if volume transaction equal or above eth is very dificult
