$100? You are now hyping. Ethereum classic will never reach that kind of price because as mentioned in this forum, ETC has the same fatal flaws of ETH. One example is the growing size of the blockchains of both ETH and ETC is happening too fast.

Really disappointed I didn't buy some ETC last week. I had a hunch the price would rise, but never thought it would see a 20-30% increase.

I've heard that there is a lot of interest in ETC coming from the Asian regions, China specifically.
Anyone got some concrete info on some projects that are using ETC? I'm still not sure of the cause for the recent spike in price.

I'm finally glad that ETC broke the cap of 1/10th of ETH, as it used to be for months. About ETC at 2$, that's more because of Bitcoin increase than of ETC price rise, but it is still worth mentioning it.

1/10th?? It is closer to 1/6th now.
The market cap of ETH is ~$700Mn, while the market cap of ETC is $125Mn now. There is still a lot of catching up to do.

it is mostly because the ethereum whales was so busy putting up buy walls to prevent ETH crash and also they tried so hard to pump ETH so they forgot about dumping ETC and it could go up. just remember that it won't last long.

I have heard that ETC will be grow even more.
I dont do much forum talk or that stuff. I just mine for fun.

Now my friend is swapping thousands of euros every time and telling me to swap to ETC.
Yesterday he said i should swap to ETH, which I did and it did nicely, but do people think ETC will also keep growing?

I don't see ETC at $2 for this year , but since both ETH and ETC are known for their often pump and dumps then it can happen in January.

The current ETC price right now is around $1.42 which is not so far from the target of $2 even though it is +40%

ETC is moving ahead with solid signals and getting more strong than ever. I have some of my reserve into this that is why I'm also glad to see current growth.

I'm not hyping. Etc has been there caused by ether, and looks like ether clone. And like you say there is not a large gap between them. It will possible if ETH has got $800 on his price.

I can see the price going above ETH once they move to the POS things, the miners will move their hardware ti ETC and market economics will play in and this will force the price up

I don't think so. This current pump of ETC is strange, certainly not caused by organic growth. Come on, over 30% rise in recent 24h? Tell me it is natural.
Soon it will drop massively - don't be baited by whales trying to pump it. There are better altcoin with brighter future to invest: Zcash & Zcoin, Maidsafecoin, Dash, Syscoin.

Its really just a normal movement for altcoin on which they rise or fall on huge percentage on a short period of time but as expected they will do the opposite way in a short period of time too. On the coins that you suggested i would not include that shitcoin zcash because i dont see any brighter future on that coin.
