Aeternity invested in decentralized exchange WeiDex to take the cryptocurrencies to next level. I am sure lot of people already know about this development which will show long term strategic results. Aeternity is pushing things steadily with proper planning that is enough to understand the vision and approach of this team ho they watch future.

Hey everyone,

We continue our series of interviews with æternity’s dev talents and this time, we present to you one of the most engaged and supporting participants in our Forum’s discussions - Hans Svensson.

Learn what interests him about blockchain and how he got involved with æternity.

He also talks about how Sophia is better compared to Solidity:

Quote
“There is much less chance to shoot yourself in the foot with Sophia, but you can still do it if you really want to." Grin

Which exchanges currently support mainnet AE

Hey,

We are currently preparing a list of all exchanges that support the live-net AE token.
We will share it with you as soon as possible.

Best regards,
The AE Team

I dont know why it would take so long. I went through and was only able to find two. Gate and Hotbit from what i found, and Gate doesnt support world wide and hotbit prices are garbage and such low volume.

I personally think that Gate.io is a good option currently. More exchanges are coming, but slowly.

Best,
Vlad

You believe an exchange that doesnt support USA, Japan, and Canada is a good option? Then the other one that supports world wide has  a 10% price difference and nearly no liquidity.

Is hotbit still supporting the mainnet? because last I checked the announcement board they said they are suspending the withdrawal function of AE.

Ive been away for a while. Jsut a couple of questions please.

1. When will we be able to transfer coins from the (over complicated and easy to loose all tokens) Air Gap vault/wallet ?
2.  How long before the mainnet is alive, using these new mainnet tokens?

Thank you.

Happy New Year

Yeah Hotbit supports mainnet but literally like no liquidity. Great if you want to sell/buy 2 digit amounts.

Hey everyone,

During the Genesis Week in Rome, Crypto Finder got to talk to æternity’s COO Emin Mahrt and æpps team lead Emil Wagner.

They discussed how Bitcoin-NG works in a PoW system and how scalable æternity can be using the state channels technology. Plus, they gave details about what will be the first æpps built on æternity.

Watch the video here:

We have yet another great piece for you today:

AN INTRODUCTION TO ÆTERNITY'S STATE CHANNELS

Get a closer look at one of æternity blockchain's main features and learn how to play with them.

Check out the first basic hands-on example of State Channels  - the game Gomoku and share your ideas about possible use cases.

We are looking forward to hearing them  Smiley

Great thank you.

Just looking at the guide. It does not say how to move AE mainnet tokens from the Airgap wallet to ledger wallet.  Is it pretty much the same thing, i simply need to have AE deposit address on Ledger then send tokens for Airgap vault (which i really hate using, that app will never amount to anything) to Ledger (which i really like).

**UPDATE - just tried to install the "Aeternity" app on ledger live and was told "not enough memory" on ledger and to delete some apps.  I only have Bitcoin and Ethereum app on it. Seems like the app for AE is way too big for the ledger.

Anyone else been able to put the AE app on ledger nano s?

PS: the new ledger live thing sucks also.

Hey,

You can transfer your AE tokens to the Ledger wallet using the Base æpp.
We are currently working on updating our migration website and adding Ledger as an option.

Hello again,

Check out this great piece by Vlad Dramaliev on the significance of the community for the development of next-gen blockchain platforms.

WHY THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEXT-GEN BLOCKCHAIN PLATFORMS MUST BE LED BY THE COMMUNITY

Vlad argues that blockchain is a communal effort and that the community input is imperative for the future of the technology and the key to its mainstream adoption.

Thank you all for supporting æternity. We greatly appreciate you!

Hello again,

The Ledger Nano S received a new firmware update today - 1.5.5.

We kindly ask you NOT to update your Ledger devices in the next day or so if you want to manage your AE tokens.
The æternity support is coming in about 24 hours.

Best,
The AE Team
