I am pretty sure that there is a hidden purpose of bitcoin rather than being a coin.

Since the author is unknown and he had no paper declaring the mission and vision of the said bitcoin project we have no fix and definite purpose that really defines the intention of the creator. Yes, you are right that people, the users who are using bitcoin will give purpose to bitcoins existence. There are many theories as why bitcoin was created here are some weird opinions:

1. Bitcoin was created by big time syndicates so they can do transactions without being monitored by any law or government organizations. It is black market money.

2. Bitcoin was created in an effort to escape from the tyranny and slavery of the present financial system. It is made without a center to free the society from the harassment of the banks. It gives freedom to the people to enjoy their investment and also the interest coming from it. Its main intention aside from being a revolution currency it tries to replace fiat currency and rewrite the world financial system.

3. Bitcoin was created by the creator simply because he wanted money, he even hide himself so that no one will accuse him of being greedy holding a huge volume of bitcoins. Nonetheless he created bitcoin for profit.

Well i think the purpose of creating bitcoins from the begining is the peoples can send the marketable value to other people with free, transparent, no control, no high fees.

Bitcoin according to me was created by the creator out of frustration for the current payment, he wanted a payment for all that could be decentralised and not manipulated by the existing currencies. He saw a future a better world for us, and look he managed to achieve it but yet he chooses not to reveal himself that's a mystery you should be interested in.

If you actually read the whitepaper on which bitcoin was created its just for a pure peer to peer transaction between people without any 3rd party involved same as you said this is really a financial freedom on its users because they do have the full control on their money unlike on storing your money on banks and making transactions which is regulated by the government.

i think it was created just for the purpose to make online trading shopping and other business more easy as to do it in fiat, as it has the same value everywhere and is not a centralize currency of the world.

Bitcoin was created to make possible the transfer of value without the need of a trusted central part to make/validate all the transactions.
