If I remember right.

People were giving away hundreds or thousands of bitcoins back then for free.

No one thought it would amount to anything more than an experiment.

Give me the private keys to your million premined bitcoins or I'll shoot you in the face.
I'm afraid this might actually have happened. Without the time machine of course. This is satoshi's last post on Bitcointalk. Does this look like someone who voluntarily decided to stop posting? Or does this look like someone who had something bad happen to him?

Hum, interesting find. No, it certainly doesn't look like someone that decided to stop posting voluntarily. It looks like someone that will return shortly with updates to the discussed problem. My joke above may be more fact than fiction. But why eliminate Satoshi? No one had any expection that bitcoin would become more than another cypherpunk toy at that point. I think it's more likely he got in a car accident or some other fatal accident and never came back. It is curious that he gave his alert keys to Andresen just before he left though. Maybe Andresen killed him and took his coin stash? jk

If you had a time machine getting you back to early stages of Bitcoin development in 2009-2010..

What would you say to satoshi?
I will not say anything to him, since my presence may somehow disturb the timeline and maybe it will affect the past.

I wouldn't mind asking him if he has any plans to move those genesis blocks after btc inception.

If he had no plans, wouldn't mind taking them off his hands & putting it towards a good cause.

Naw, i think you are reading into it a bit much.

What is funny is Satoshi's last post has only been read 15,662 times  Cheesy

And guys.. HE IS DEAD !

I think the summary from critics on the Craig Wright drama sums it up.
I have heard a few scenarios posted claiming various people are Satoshi.
Such as, http://www.coindesk.com/linguistic-researchers-name-nick-szabo-author-bitcoin-whitepaper/

But i think it was the guy Craig knew here that ended up dying.. Dave Kleiman

Details wise i have no idea..
But if Dave was in part "Satoshi" and he died maybe his private keys went with him etc.
We have so far a viable link to a dead man.. which *maybe explains the mysterious disappearance of Satoshi i think.
Craig may have been involved like he said but he probably has no way to login to Satoshi's account here and probably does not have the private keys to Satoshi's Bitcoins etc.

Let's not forget here people it has been common for dev's to share public face accounts.
For example iGotSpots admitted this with the TIX / Tickets forum account here.
He claimed more than one guy working on the coin had posted here using that exact account.

So i think it is plausible that Satoshi was a forum name here and his account was possibly used by a bunch of people at different times.

I do think Craig Wright is full of shit though.
I sure as hell am not saying he is honest in his claims.
http://gizmodo.com/this-australian-says-he-and-his-dead-friend-invented-bi-1746958692

Dave Kleiman is the guy you need to be looking at i think.
or me Wink
..who knows LOL

Yeah i have been accused of being Satoshi here before  Cheesy
