Before if someone were to steal blockexplorers logs, the theif would be able to associate A LOT of bitcoin addresses with IP addresses.
Anyone who visited their own addresses without TOR would most likely be the only one who visited it. That would make addresses for YEARS have
a unique IP. I'm sure many have used his service!

After talking with thymos, despit being busy he agreed to anonimize the logs that are month old!

Thank you theymos for helping bitcoiners remain anonymous!
Feel free to tip him as a thanks! (I did!  Grin)

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

theymos is good people, have dealt with him many times.

That said, if you are remotely worried about something like this, you should already be using VPNs and anon web-proxies

A long time ago I sent Theymos a 20BTC tip for making a change to blockexplorer.com to support lazy web developers who want to check if they got some BTC without installing anything special on a website.

Now that tip is worth a LOT more. Smiley

We should also thank him for his work on this forum.

Thanks for your work on blockexplorer. I've been using it as a valuable tool for months now Smiley
