Following is a tweet from https://www.Zcash-Miner.com

That would mean that is it is true ZCash mining is quite something of the past, because the market will be flooded by this new big hashrate coming from FPGA farms.

I think, none is providing FPGA to public yet. Zcash-Miner.com seems to have slashed their solve rate cost due to FPGA performance increase.

This is even worst if it isn't released to the public, as people will not know about it and the great farms will be making a lot of money because that will have a little impact on the network, but enough to alter it in the bad way for small home miners.

Unfortunately, this is already happening. But, u can not expect someone's private research work to go public without any incentive.

Yeah, I doubt they will ever release it except if they manage to include a fee hardcoded into the software, and do not mine anymore for them. That will make them a passive income, but this has no interest for the original developper to mine and release it, even more without a fee, because at the end this farm would earn a lot less.

scam maibe?!

i would say its very suspicious .. pretty much seems like another cloud mining scam, but with the added lie of having a FPGA for Equihash.

Seems like a scam to me, or just a brazen attempt to gain traffic to their site.

I doubt this to be true - the website lacks detail on anything really and if they had a FPGA Equihash miner they would be screaming about it at the very least on their website if not on this forum and many other places.

FPGA mining could technically be possible but I would be quite sceptical as this shop reminds me of older scams.

Yep. There is no point in doing business without profit.

If this was true, it would be a bad news for every ZEC miner..
But since it's a fake, you can still sleep at night  Roll Eyes

Pretty much say Bye bye to home mining Zec with GPU's, if it is true .... I hope not, i hate it when some greedily ass hole comes a long and screws it up for every one, no respect imo . and most of us here respect home mining , even if it is a pass time that pays for it self most of the time.

well it depend on the specs, first batch would probably be on par with gpu, you can't kill gpu mining, the money will simply move elsewhere

to monero/zcoin(new algo) to lbry again/something new

If I had FPGA miner that worked I would tell no one .. I would just mine with it.

So why did they claim to have one?

Why does BitFury claim to have 16nm?
