Do you think BTC will hit 2000 USD feb 17

Any bad event happening in this world that goes on a big scale (like many victims or so) affects Bitcoin positively. The European Union wants now to control Bitcoin, Gold and Silver too (Reuters reported that a few days ago). This affects us in a positive way again, because the demand is going to go crazy in the following weeks. I do believe Bitcoin will rise very fast soon, even sooner than others might think. I have convinced two friends to invest in Bitcoin weeks ago, and now they thanked me. This is the perfect time for investing in Bitcoin, do not wait more!

I think so. Bitcoin has officially passed 1,000$ and I see the price will continue to rise higher.
Are there any plans to buy and hold bitcoins for long term, Guy?

I dont think soo that bitcoin price would hit up that high on this year.Seeing on the movement of bitcoin price it takes years to reach up again on $1k and we should not assume that it would double its value fast in next month and thats really impossible to happen on reaching and we should think off on the thing that bitcoin might dip its price after the price increase rally.

Well there is a possibility of bitcoin's price hitting $2000 but I don't think it's gonna happen that fast. Because we all know that bitcoin has gone through many stages and difficulties over time to reach the level of $1000 like today, bitcoin can hardly rise up that high in only a month. Unless there are some miracles, bitcoin won't stand a chance of going sky high in only the first month of 2017.

By the end of February reaching $2000 is hardly impossible. Over the years to come this might increase, during the ongoing continued increase price might touch the maximum of $1500 and won't exceed that.

I think bitcoin price could reach the $1500 milestone if the uptrend continues but I don't think it will double in just 1 month. However that is not impossible so trust your feelings and just go for it.

Happy New Year to the OP as well. It is really surprising for me that btc is already $1k again. We've waited for quite a long time for it to get there. As for $2000 price in a month from now - that won't happen, I guess. It just never did. There will be time of btc dropping to something around $600 in April or so, I think. In February it should be around $1100 at most.

Well, I think 2017 is a good year for bitcoin. Especially blockchain technology. The price flying high when it touch $1000.
And now all of the bitcoiners is hoping that will keep going higher, as you say $2000. But honestly, most of trader who trade bitcoin everyday in the exchangers is really make a wish that price will be drop and bouncing.
Everyone is dream to buy something expensive as much as they can when the price is cheap.

2000 usd it is a really big price , in august 2015 the price of bitcoin was about 600 usd and it took half an year to reach 1000 usd , so it is pretty hard to double its price in 1 month , but it is possible

2000$ by the end of Feb 2017 , i think after seeing last few months price increase in bitcoin made you think about it, but i dont think it will go the max if we can see is 1250 to 1400 usd because next week we can see some selling pressure as now everyone will try to cash out the profit and little bit of price going down then the all weak hands will just dump it and that may give you crash in the bitcoin price.

Now be ready for any type of Roller Coaster (UP OR DOWN either side)

Maybe too soon. Historically, the price dips in january so it might be lower than 1000$. I do not expect it too reach more than 1100. Maybe next year we can reach that price but for now, let us enjoy the 1000$ price range. Happy new year too OP.

Firstly have this topic moved to speculation board. Coming to your question you are expecting a 1000$ jump. I don't see it happening, as there are no signs that says it will shoot so fast. Long term year end why not. Until some major event happens then you never know. Post Jan 20 when trump takes office will be interesting to see his policies that can affect global. Markets and increase prices.

I am not really sure because the price did not heat $1000+ by the end of the year, and in the initial year, I do not think the price will be higher. so probably the price will be around $800-$950 on february. but if it hits more than $950, it will be better.

Ok, nice discussion, but from 900$ to 2000$ jump, I think it's not possible because it will not be real at this time, if bitcoin price reach 1300-1400$ then we can speak about 2000$. Because no one knows what will happen tomorrow:)

being thrown at Bitcoin at the moment, so we will see a slight increase in the price. Just more than 1 year ago we were all looking at a $400

Bitcoin market is too stable and too large for so fast price change in short time. BTC can hit 1100 USD maximum till february. 2000 USD is too high price for Bitcoin at the current time.

Make it realistic, can we?  It is obvious that January starts with  a bullish Bitcoin but, saying Bitcoin will surge and be $2000 this February is a wishful thinking.  In a span of a year maybe, but in this short span of time, sorry but I think it is next to impossible.  It would be real if you say Bitcoin will reach $1100, even $1200 on February is a bit vague because am sure there is a big possibility that people will be cashing out at $1100 and it may affect the bullish stance of bitcoin.
