I don't know if you should include any POW in the new coin as it will be exchanged with STAX. POW is only needed to generate some starting coins before POS kicks in.
Here, we already have big amount of coins after swap which can stake, and thus POW would be unnecessary.

And as soon as the swap starts, I would stop the reward system in the old coin to avoid ppl generating more STAX and thus decreasing value of new coin.

POS only coins ruin the coin I thin POW only and 12-20 million top total coins lifetime is a good number and have a good theme with good community support and developer that stays active in the community helps.
