I agree with you but now buying the mining hardware and starting mining is still costly and it wont fetch profit. So it is better if you are having bitcoins then hold it or start selling according to your profit earning way. and for buying hashrate from a cloudmining, i never liked it unless there were some legit place like ghash.io (from cex.io exchange in 2014-2015)

that is a risky move unless you are trader. because selling can mean missing out because there is nothing showing any indication of decreasing long term. but short term it is happening but needs a trader to take advantage of that.

I fail to understand. You say that mining is much more profitable. I guess it's because of the sudden price rise no? But even with the rise, it's still less profitable than it was before halving isn't it?
I thought about trying to mine a year and a half ago, but it seems that everyone is saying mining isn't profitable since... well more or less since I started being interested in it xD

What you are telling wrong instead of bitcoin mining, start altcoin mining and as soon as sell it when the coin hit exchange and if you have bought in low price then better to start selling slowly as anything can happen now

Bitcoin is currently trading above 1000usd and the macd, relatively straight index still show strong buying signal. It may interest you to know that bitcoin may get to 1500usd before pull back. Though your speculation or strategies may be ok but wait until the market hits the resistance at 800usd or 750usd before implement it.

I dont think that the market will fall so low of $700 it has tested till $880 and now bounced back and as per my calculation it will remain in the $950 to $1060 range which is good for next price jump to high. so it is good to hold it.

if you wanted to maximize profits better check alt trading, from there you will be able to buy cheap alts and wait for the price to rise up as we knew that every time btc rises up alt start to fall down so better check trusted alt project with strong  community support and high volume trades, buy low and sell high for sure you will able to maximize your btc earnings.

I bet to differ, it's a major pumping season so if you don't get greedy and you had bitcoins when it was below $500 I think it will be appropriate to sell for a 100% profit at the moment and then wait for it to decline ( i.e. I'm sure it will by March, it's actually declined to $966 rightnow) so that you can buy it low and hope for another pump maybe in December 2017.

Even though BTC is relative new, is this a yearly event with pumping in december and dumping in jan/feb?

biggest drop i ever seen in very short time 
these moment always make people confused , whether to keep waiting the price drop

Trade bitcoin for directly will better than buying some hash. In some thread on the service section already discussed.
Like sell my bitcoin @$1124 and buy again @$950 are more profitable than buy some hash and just give free loans for the cloud mining site.

when bitcoin price reaches a higher price you should start thinking about keeping it safer since it is worse a lot more than before. instead you are asking about the riskiest method of investing bitcoin: mining!
it is risky because of the places that are selling hash rate, they tend to run away too often.
and also even if you buy mining equipment yourself it is not yet good profit.
