I have multiple 2011 Casascius Series-1 physical bitcoins for sale in Central Virginia. I need to move these fast to pay for home repair bills. Please PM with serious interest if you are able to meet in person to conduct the transaction. I am willing to travel some for the right buyer. No low ball offers. Please respect my time, and I will respect yours. These will be hitting Kraken next week if I do not find a buyer to preserve them as collectable coins.

You will get more for selling them unpeeled and considering the recent prose rise the extra difference will be quite significant.
I know that the series 1 coins collect a higher premium than the S2 and S3 coins and those themselves usually have a premium of anything more than 0.2BTC above face value.

If you want this thread to gain more notice then you should probably move it to the collectibles section. Lots of trash threads keep appearing in the Goods section and collectors tend to look for coin sales in the collectible and auction section nowadays.

Hope this helps and good luck finding some buyers. I know a few people on this forum would be happy to take these off you for more than the face value.

Edit: Just saw these are the single error coins aka the first Cas singles made. They should definitely fetch a nice premium so don't peel them! You'll get a lot more selling them as is.

I understand, the problem is I need the money for a large home repair with my heating system.

Sent your coins to a trusted escrow in your neighbourhood, then go t the lending section and request a loan there.
Casascius coins are great to cover your lended money. This will give you time to fetch a higher price for your coins, and get the money for your home repairs.

Ps. Coins in escrow cannot be sold directly, in your loan request you should mention that you are selling those coins that are the cover.

I know you said no lowball offers but i will offer 6.25btc and i will drive to you.  About 6 hour drive for me and not in the market for cas coins right now but thats better than peeling them.  If a deal is struck i would only meet at a police station that offers safe trades.  If not no worries, not trying to offend you just trying to help you not peel these for much cheaper.  Can meet on friday.

Edit: can you post pics of the backs with the holo showing

OP - This offer from wheelz is pretty good considering how quickly the price of BTC is moving up. The market for Casascius coins is not great right now.  If you peel them, they are effectively worthless at that point (maybe the peeled coins would fetch 0.1 for the entire lot).  I would make a similar offer of 6-7 BTC if I was in the area. Unfortunately I was driving through VA just last week and am nowhere near there now.

Hope you get more offers for these and get your heat repaired.

Good luck with your sale, good offer there from wheelz.

I thought 1.25 btc for what appears to be great condition 2011 errors was a steal until I tried to make the logistics work... I can't offer anything better.  Clearly there is a considerable amount of value to having Wheelz drive to VA to pick them up.

dumbchump, it was a very respectable offer thank you! The value of a quick in person deal is being able to provide heat for my family in the middle of winter (albeit not a very cold one). The expense is to replace a heat pump with a blown coil that is no longer under warranty with a new gas furnace unit as well as fixing electrical hazards discovered in the process. Right now we are running solely off aux heat strips. Under different circumstances I may have even elected to spend the time throwing a Dutch Auction just for funsies!

Nice few coins you have.
I would be able to match Wheelz offer except that I would require shipping as I am in Seattle.

Happy to have an escrow involved.

What I bring to the table is that you've mentioned they would end up on Kraken, so I am happy to offer a cash/check/money order/bank deposit instead of coins since it appears to be your goal.
