There's a not-trivial learning curve. Do your research and understand what you're doing before taking any major risks. Just my two cents....

Crenel's right!  You have a lot of reading to do Grin  Or YouTube videos to watch if that's not your thing.

Also, welcome!

Welcome.  I find my btc related bookmarks folder grew rather quickly while learning.  If you have a question, search the forum.  There are plenty of nice people willing to help.  But do watch out for the bad ones.

If you can find a helpful community to chat with, it can help with the learning process. I refined my understanding a lot by participating in the chat on one of the get-BTC-for-visiting-sites sites. I'd imagine IRC could be just as good. Ask questions and keep poking at the gaps in your understanding until things start to really make sense. And, of course, keep an eye on the difference between facts and opinion/speculation.

Another great resource besides this forum would be the wiki of Bitcoin.it

Just wanted to drop a line and say hello..

You could give us an idea of your area of expertise and hobbies, some techies assume everyone is an expert.
Same goes for economists.

Enjoy
