There is another halving event in 4 years..

And another one in 8 years..

If bitcoin is still around then and still working! (probably improved by then) ..then I think it will be worth an absolute fortune.

You need to be thinking long term. Short term profits are nice.. you should always hold some though, with a long term view.

Longs got crushed just below the Bitcorn ultimate ATHs in USD (1163 on Stamp and 1175 Finex).  It seems totally expected given the quick price rise of the last week coupled with the euphoria of approaching ATH, people went margin long.  Some whale(s) simply took advantage and made a killing.

IMO we will be back over 1k USD in a day or two and the Honey Badger will continue to do what it does best.

Relax. Isn't this happened already many times? Don't panic, if you don't need your money yet in real life, just keep it as bitcoin, this drop won't hurt your money if you won't move it now.  But if you aren't convinced and you need your money, go, cash it out, worrying won't help you when it comes to this situation. Take a look at the price chart now, it looks like the upset stomach already calmed down.

Don't look at the price often, it would just make you feel and think that "bitcoin is dead" or "we are dropping to zero, OMG!!!  ".

Buy a little more. 

I am pleased that it pulled back.  It will let me continue building my position below $1000.

I expect the price to chop around for several weeks.  This is normal behavior for a financial asset.

I expect it to be significantly higher in 2-3 years.

I agree and since it has pulled back below $900 now might be a good time to add more BTC to your holdings. It will most likely bounce around these levels for a while and hopefully next time we break 1k it holds strong above that level so like I said now might be a great buying opportunity to add some more BTC.

well, we are not even back to the previous price support level yet. and even with the drop which looks big to you, it is still not big enough to bring the price back to $780 which was the price before this massive rise and that is a good sign. and if the resistance at $800-850 holds and becomes strong you can expect a rise right after this resistance is formed.

I agree with you. The chances of it going up again and go to new all time high is most likely to happen. If it were to dump though, just hold your bitcoins OP and just wait for an opportunity to sell your bitcoin for a price were you will profit even if it would take years. You can also use the bitcoin you have now to earn some more if the price fall down in the next few months.

nobody could predict the exact situations for bitcoin except maybe the bears but if you're not sure bitcoin will rise up again i suggest you leave bitcoin for a while because the price very unstable and i fear next pump will happening again today or perhaps tomorrow however for me i would take the risk with holding more longer my bitcoin even the current price was beyond of my expectation

Stay calm and do not be scared, friend. Fluctuations in bitcoin was reasonable, when the price drops certainly will be recovered and go up back in. If prices fall it is better to buy a bitcoin, because if prices go up you will get profit. In using bitcoin everyone should have a strategy in order to gain an profit. Yep, the charts hint toward a bearish trend. However Chinese New Year is coming up, and as we all know, global markets like to go crazy. There hasn't been any bad news beside China's odd movements against bitcoin, so there's no reason to drop more. I believe bitcoin is less based on charts, but on current events. You gotta read the news and trade before anyone else does.

i don't know if you are just spamming random stuff here or your ability to understand English is bad.
those "mysterious people" are those who bought bitcoin in about 16 days ago they are still in profit. and also those who bought last month, 2,3,...12 months ago they are all in profit right now and pretty satisfied with their 5%, 10,.... 200% profits respectively.

For now, it seems to be a correction due to unsustainable growth after New Year's to me and it looks a bit more realistic now. It was vertical before this correction, it couldn't have gone on forever

I agree people just need to stay calm and be patient as BTC is more of a long term investment however people can make money in the short term depending on what the individual decides to do. I am in it for the long term as I can easily see BTC reaching 2k in the near future and beyond.
