Days after the Fury rematch was called off, Klitschko was approached by Eddie Hearn, who promotes IBF champion Anthony Joshua, to fight on the November 28 date they had set for a second defence. Terms seemed to have been agreed for a $30m fight showdown although an initial contract was yet to be signed.[79] After Fury gave up his world titles, it was said that Klitschko wanted the WBA title up for grabs in the potential match up against Joshua and waiting for approval, which the WBA kept postponing.[80] A reason as to why the WBA was delaying sanctioning the fight was due them having a legal settlement with Lucas Browne so he could fight for the vacant title next. Klitschko then turned his attention to fighting Browne instead on December 10, a date his team had an arena set for in Germany.[81] On October 24, Klitschko suffered a minor calf injury which would rule him out until 2017. Talks between the Klitschko camp and Hearn remained active with a fight set for Spring of 2017.[82][83] On November 2, the WBA finally agreed to sanction a fight for their super title as long as Joshua defeats Eric Molina in December 2016.[84]

On December 10, immediately after Joshua had defeated Molina in Manchester Arena, Klitschko was invited into the ring by Hearn. It was announced that Klitschko and Joshua would face each other for the IBF and WBA Super titles at Wembley Arena, London, on the April 29 2017.[85] WBA president Gilberto Mendoza confirmed that the winner will have to face mandatory challenger Luis Ortiz next, with deadlines due to be set after the unification fight.[86][87][8

Big boxing heavyweight fight, lots of money to be made here, this one will be huge, a lot of people has been waiting to see these 2 fight. What do you think? I may gamble and bet for an Anthony Josua win, the guy is younger and eager to win, and Klitschko is I think a bit psychologically damaged from the Tyson Fury loss... but then again maybe that is the fire that he needs to win this one and get a rematch with Tyson... very thought call. Still a long time to go so I will think about it.

Klitschko is still fighting? Isn't he in the era of Mike Tyson and George Foreman nearing the end of their boxing careers? And those guys are in their 60's so he must be about in his 40's.
That is at the end of a man's life cycle in the boxing ring I would think.

Yeah, Wladimir Klitschko is 40 years old and still boxing, he is looking pretty young. Vitali Klitschko is 45 an he has been retired for a while, retired in 2012 with a 45-2 record.

Their first profesional fights were around 1996 so yes, they boxed in the Mike Tyson era... but I guess they were still considered nobodies compared to Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis and Hollyfield. Vitali fought against Lewis in 2003 and lost. I would have liked to see Mike Tyson in his prime fight against the super tall Klitschko brothers.

40 years old against 27 years old and obviously in terms of experience Klitschko is more better but i think he has already through his golden era and maybe that is the cause why the odds for Klitschko is very high

Anthony Joshua @ 1.4
Wladimir Klitschko @ 2.84
Draw @ 32

Never count a Kltischko out. Age is just a number. Bernard Hopkins was a champion in his 50's, sure we saw im recently getting KO'd out of the ring but that doesn't matter, Klitschko is a freak athlete with long arms and great technical skills, he is taller and has a longer reach and a deeper understanding of boxing, all Anthony Joshua has on Klitschko is age and probably explosiveness but that isn't everything to win against him. Im giving K a big win.

One of the few times when boxing becomes interesting is when we see these kind of big matches and i am a big fan of Klitschko brothers ,i would like to see Wladimir Klitschko pose a good challenge to the young Anthony Joshua and i am surprised that the young Olympian suddenly rose to the championship level in pro boxing.Speed and timing determines the winner and i am going for Klitschko to win the match.

The odds for Wladimir Klitschko is attractive and i do not want to miss that.May be the high odds is because Anthony Joshua is British and he is undefeated with 18-0 is impressive but he has to battle and win against the veteran Wladimir Klitschko to cement is place and things are not easy for Joshua as he will be facing Tyson Fury if he wins this one or we are going to see Tyson Fury Wladimir Klitschko 2.

Tyson Fury was supposed to happen months ago, but Tyson Fury broke his ankle or something during training, this caused the fight to  be constantly delayed. I think Tyson Fury will eventually fight Klitschko again. I hope Klitschko wins this, I want to see a rematch, and after the rematch I want to see Josua fight Tyson, also Deontay is another HW that I want to see fight against Tyson.

Any day i would go for the Klitschko but age has caught up with him for sure and if you look at the records ,Anthony Joshua (18-0, 18 KOs) and Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 KO) i really do think experience do count in boxing and it all depends upon how determined Wladimir Klitscho is as if he wins this match i am sure he will be having a rematch with Tyson Fury and win the match and he would retire if i am not wrong and that is what i am hoping to see from the Klitschko brothers.

I think Wladimir Klitschko has never been moer motivated than he is now. He hasn't faced a real challenge for ages, and with Tyson Fury he finally remembered what losing feels like. I think his loss has made him stronger, contrary to the case of Ronda Rousey where losing destroyed her confidence.

I think Klitschko wins this and then he wins the Tyson Fury rematch, but I have my doubts Fury will fight again, he is a trainwreck.

Ronda Rousey is a real bad example when it comes to accepting defeat at this stage ,she has being defeated earlier and she could recover those defeats or accept those but when it comes to the UFC she really cannot accept defeat which is really silly as the hype train has caught up with her, when it comes to Tyson Fury i really want to see the rematch between  Wladimir Klitschko and i am sure he will win the rematch and sure he will be motivated on his return.

There are accusations that the Klitschko brothers are connected to the underworld and his older brother was positioned for president in the Ukraine. Hence, who knows what is going on behind the scene and who should win.

I dont think Klitschko can still keep up with a younger and hungry fighter like Joshua. He is too old for this. He should retire now. From the day he loss to Fury. Thats the sign that he should retire. He is not getting any younger. Joshua is a prospect. If he beat Klitschko. Maybe he can fight Fury next.

AJ is not ready for this type of challenge i'd get my money on Klitschko.  Tyson fury is a freak of nature and had the strategy to unsettle Klitschko.  AJ hasn't had 1 big test as of yet and is young.

AJ is looking pretty good for this fight in my opinion.

Though with the odds you are getting on Klitshcko, it would be kind of unwise to not bet on him.

Even that is what i think Josua is still raw and the fight against Klitschko will be a big step in his career and if he is able to defeat the great Wladimir Klitschko then it will be a shinning feature in his career. We are yet to see more super powers when it comes to boxing in this day and age and MMA has taken over boxing in my opinion.

AJ is ready to fight and he is hungry and dangerous. But I got my money on Klitschko, he got too much experience to be upset by AJ. And I believe there still some fire under his belly, to regain the HW belt from the young AJ. Klitschko by decision. He will be in trouble in early rounds by will adjust and get the nod from the judges.

Draw is possible in boxing?

Yes, draw is possible in 2 situations:

1) The draw happens in the decision. This means judges give a 50/50 decission. It's a draw.

2) This is the crazy one: Double KO. Both boxers punch themselves hard at the same time, they fall at the floor and none of them can stand up again. Im not sure if this has ever happened in profesional boxing. It probably happened but its ultra rare.

Double KO is a rare feat and it has happened long back during a match against Ad Wolgast v Joe Rivers for the lightweight title both knocked them out but the referee helped Wolgast to his feet and counted River out and that was the most controversial decisions in boxing history.I have seen some amateur double KO videos in MMA and boxing in youtube which are really funny.
