Deposited some money into dwolla , because of the upcoming weekend i ended up having to wait about 6 days before it showed up.  Finally showed up and wanted my ID for verification, no problem. Now it's saying another 1-2 business days to verify my ID but since it's almost the weekend it will probably be 4-5 days.   Then after all this I hear dwolla has a 30 day wait period.... is this true accurate ?

If it is that really sucks , that would mean about 41 days before my money finally gets to an exchange.

It's problems like these that make me remember BTC is still in it's early stages and not ready for the mainstream. Your average person ain't gonna sit around waiting for over a month.

Anyways, is the 30day wait period still in affect ?

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

I can't say for sure regarding the cooldown period, but if it does exist then it's important to remember that it has nothing to do with Bitcoin itself; it's just a Dwolla thing.

That's true, it's a issue with Dwolla not Bitcoin.

Although it is a problem that it's so damn difficult for me to get my money into any exchanges.

Of course in fairness my situation is unique. I'm an American with all my accounts in America but I don't actually live in America right now. So it means I don't have the options of physically walking into a store like I normally would. And trying to buy BTC in the country I'm living in simply isn't an easy process especially since I'm not a citizen.
