Just a poll to see what the users here think.  Mt-gox is claiming hundreds of thousand of new accounts recently, rather hard to believe with the current market.

Well they claim they are being DDoS'd

Whether its true or not, who knows

Maybe they just saw the market crashing and decided to take the exchange offline. Then later they make up this 'DDoS' excuse.

Either way they need to sort things out soon. People are already angry....... Im sure it wont be long until law suits start appearing.

outside pump and dump from vc types combined with orchestrated ddos attacks to frighten market and manipulate price through fear

these amazing events will undoubtedly bring about a great deal more of media attention. bitcoin is like a telephone, the more that people use it, the more powerful it becomes.

stock up on cheap coins.

also, every post on this forum is a very shortsighted attempt at the above, they are just using bigger toys and much much more capital.

Considering their bigtime plans to move to SiliV, they really should be watching their arses closer than ever.

I vote incompetence. No way, no how, they're going to manipulate on purpose with the challenges they're about to face moving to the USA. (Unless, perhaps, they don't Want to move?)
