It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

The transfer I made from Bitfloor to Coinbase two hours ago is still not in a block yet. Funnily enough, Coinbase let me sell it and cash out anyway. I will laugh hard if the funds arrive at my bank before the tx goes to a block.

was there a fee on the transaction? sometimes exchanges mess that up.

I didn't pay one, but for some reason the tx log says there was one applied.
