Hi everybody,
I got bitcoin yesterday and I have been using Slush's pool. I understand it is a point method, but after a while the website just stops recognising my computers existence and it stops recording points and shares. However the client says it is still making many shares. Any help would be great.

Thanks very much.
The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Maybe you try another pool to check if this only happens at this pool?!

I ran initially on slush's pool too, got to around $.37 US in BTC, and noticed the same thing. I since left, and joined BTCGuild, and havent looked back. Not saying anything nefarious is happening, just saying I wont put up with that sort of garbage, no matter what is going on.

Just my 2 cents . . .
