Is it telling anyone else they need verification to withdraw BTC???

I have 28 confirms for a deposit at gox and nothing is showing in my account Sad

Lat time I had to wait 29 confirmations for my coins to arrive at gox.
To be honest it made me paranoid as hell. But recently I was withdrawing Fiat from Gox, and today is the 11th day.
The status is still only confirmed.
Same as with everything around bitcoins. they need to sort their S**t out otherwise people will not invest in BTC.

So it's easy to get money in there but harder to get it out.

This doesn't look good !

I think this will present a big problem to the BTC community.
because if common people, who wouldn't mind putting a bit of money in to BTC, just like an investment, will be put off by it, because BTC is not in the mainstream media, it is not a major share if you like.
If anyone gets to know it it will be through a friend.
And if the friend tells you to avoid the biggest exchange because it is hard to get your money back, people will avoid the whole thing like a plague !

You guys need to relax, MTgox are having high demand issues, things are just taking a little longer.  I got my withdrawal after a few hours.

Its not often business grows 10 fold in a month anyone would struggle

yep same here waiting on euro

still 'confirmed'

I e-mailed them they said this:

"We are now 2 weeks behind on withdrawals. "

With no indication when they would get to it...

Hope they aren't running for  the exits with real money and leave people will useless bitcoins behind

This is a big red flag.

Nothing will make MtGox fall fast and hard more than not having enough staff to process withdrawals and users having to wait weeks.

What are they thinking ? They need to hire dozens of admin staff immediately if there's a delay like this.

You know what I was thinking Samson?

Imagine the money they have made. Surely a company turning over as many transactions as they do they should be minted from the fees.
They simply shouldn't sacrifice service for profit.

But yes. everything aboout BTC is a liability. I am not a big miner by any means, I made some cash and I am greatful for it so this is not a moan, but people will be turned off because things like this.

Also someone said further above that there is 2 weeks delay = normal transaction time + 2 weeks.
Except noone knows what is the "normal" transaction time, because noone ever had one !.

Well... This was my moan.

Actually, their Polish bank (for EUR) has a monthly withdrawal limit. So you wait for the next month if you're lucky, or the next month after that.

Thanks, I'm not surprised after all of their BS responses..  The temp hiatus will allow them to build back up some reserves through those deposits and they'll be sending out wires before too long.

In the meantime, got to move funds out through other means.

They do international wires on BTCe. I'm not sure if they will send them to the US though.

My withdrawal took place more than 4h ago and still nothing. I have also checked the fee box for faster delivery.

Last replies in that thread discuss USD/EURO withdrawals more than BTC.

Here's their explanation:

Quote
"Looks like there is a technical issue and we have already escalated this to our developers and they are currently looking in to this and we are expecting to have this issue resolved soon and we will keep you updated once your withdrawal is processed form our end and we apologize for the inconvenience that this may have caused.
