Can we sort the bitcoin addresses according to their BTC value? Which bitcoin address has the most BTC? As far as I know, all transactions are already recorded. Then I think we can sort these addresses by their BTC value. Any ideas on this?

Can we never know who this address belongs to? Is it impossible to find the addressee's identity?

Can we never know who this address belongs to? Is it impossible to find the addressee's identity? unless the owner of a bitcoin address tells us we have little to no way of finding that out. what you can do is to search all the addresses that sent to or received bitcoin from the said address. you can find out if there are any other addresses linked with the said address (used both in same transaction as input) then find out who those addresses belong to and find a possible link between a real person, possibly a service like an exchange and those addresses. check out walletexplorer.com too.

From what I recall, the satoshi suspected personal wallet addresses haven't had any transaction since 2010. There also have been other addresses with more bitcoins in the past.

IIRC Bitstamp holds at least 100k in cold storage, that number is a bit old though so they might hold more now. They might also moved the funds to several addresses each holding a lower amount, which would make sense from a security perspective.

It's really intriguing though to wonder when or if any of Satoshis coins will have any movement in the future. I'm sure a lot of speculation will arise if that happens. No doubt these addresses with a lot of coin and recent transactions probably belong to an exchange of some sort. Especially when it's a multisig address.

Why should this be important? I am asking seriously. Besides to know what the winning price is for guessing a private Key could be i see no reason to know this. Someone can have more then one wallet, so you can not say the holder is the richest or whatever.

He does not keep all his bitcoins in a single address. He keeps them in different addresses in a way that people can not notice.

Knowing the richest address is possible. I will no longer post the link since others have already posted it here. The owner of that wallet being not known to the public is a good thing, it will serve as a protection and security to the owner of that btc. They should hide themselves so they will not place their selves in danger.

Can't remember the address since I didn't bookmark it but it had more than 320k bitcoins in it with more than 19k transactions which shows how really people trust the blockchain safety.

I think so. I mean what is the benefit of knowing address that has the most bitcoin? will it bring benefit for us? probably yes if you write it on a blog that will give you money when many people click in it. but it will not much I think. so after see the link to the information about the address, I think that is enough.

I don't think this is possible to find out. As wallet contains lots of address so it will be difficult to trace out which wallet belongs to which address. The other question which comes in my mind is that a Single wallet can contains how many maximum addresses ? Any Idea ?

Thanks for this info and seeing those wallets are jaw dropping and theres no way to find out whose the owner of that wallet since bitcoin is fully anonymous and i couldnt see that it own by satoshi itself since there are lots of early adopters when bitcoin is just starting. This wallet maybe from an exchange since there are lots of transactions.

It wont be possible as most of the wallets when transferred little amount also the balance get transferred to other address so each transaction the bitcoin jumps to new address. So it is highly impossible to record the details.

This information would be of zero value, because this changes constantly. Most exchanges and gambling sites have coins in cold storage, so it might be big today, and gone tomorrow. The other thing is, most people who knows a little bit about cold storage, would tell you that you do not use a single address to store your coins offline. You split your coins up into smaller groups, to make it easier to sweep coins when you need it. Moving 1000's of coins out of cold storage, every time you want to use 1 or 2, would be impractical.
