Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but not all should be taken seriously. If there's a new currency bound to replace bitcoin, I just hope it is for the good of the users. Or if not, I hope the developers still find ways to make bitcoin more of the currency that is full of potential to be THE currency, and not just another run-of-the-mill currency. The future is full of uncertainties, and we are in the digital age, so anything can really happen.

If at some point there is an altcoin that replaces bitcoin then it would need to be a lot better than bitcoin in order to displace it out of the top spot that it currently has, it will need to be faster, anonymous, with a more stable price and more.

There will be no alternative coins that will replace bitcoin. Even though that coins exceed the price of bitcoin it will still not replace it. But if there are digital currency that will possibly replace bitcoin it will be the fiat digital currency that the banks will release. Digital currency own by the banks will have fast adoption if it will be implemented and bitcoin will have problem if it will not reach enough users.

I did not say it was going to happen, that is why I put an if there, it was a supposition, I like bitcoin and I would like bitcoin to be the flagship crypto currency, because that will prove the concept is workable and can last for a long time.

Of course this acceptance will be followed by some legal conditions and policies so that illicit activities will not occur especially money laundering that will destroy the economic condition of a certain country. Many people have already said this thing, that bitcoin is dead, bitcoin is not the future and other negative feedback about it, but bitcoin still exist today, alive and kicking other Altcoins butts who tries to overcome its superiority amongst them. It is easy for anyone, here in this forum or maybe outside on this forum making an article for us to believe this ridiculous news about bitcoin, this kind of topic have already been here so many times, and instead of spreading this kind of news about bitcoin, why not just keep on supporting it since we are all getting benefited by it.

Let's just stop this nonsense, we don't know what will going to happen to bitcoin in the future, we just need to sit back and wait what will happen to bitcoin in the future, that is all we can do, because predictions are just predictions, it can change anytime.

I think that having healthy skepticism is a good thing. Complacency should be avoided at all cost and I'm continually amazed at all of the development I see taking place in this space every day. Same as you. First I would like to extend my compliment to OP because of his job well done post.

In this thread you can see how people perceive Bitcoin. Two people that which the other is optimist while the other is pessimist but I'll speak as a neutral one. It is true that probably Bitcoin can be replaced and die that is if there is much better coin that will came up but unfortunately there is none and with the possibility that there might be a coin who can do this in the future then let us not neglect the fact that there might be none.

The thing is, the Bitcoin has shown developments and will continue to grow and there is no sign that it will somehow die but if it comes to that point then we will surely know and feel it years before it will happen. For now and to the next years, Bitcoin would continue to flourish as countries have opened the idea to also accept Bitcoin like Japan did and Australia who will do it next month.

I would say that the 'experiment' is a success and it truly helps a lot of people to attain financial stability.
