Do any exchanges/wallets accept credit cards. Or is everything just bank transfer ?

Thanks in advance.

The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

buy linden dollars (currency of second life) with a credit card. Then use virwox to exchange those for bitcoin. That's really the only method I've seen out there

Hi!
It is difficult to find a site that accept credit cards to buy bitcoins. BTC and CC don't get along in real life. All the sites I've seen that claim to do that, have disappeared.

The way I started buying bitcoins even though I am in Costa Rica was via https://localbitcoins.com/ then finding trusted sellers in bitcointalk and then finally deciding to open an account in Mt Gox and wire some money there.

unique idea!  I hadn't heard about that method.  Maybe it's time I resurrect my avatar which I haven't touched in 5 years...

Be forewarned, there's a limit to how much you can charge (I think it's about 60 USD at a time), on top of a hefty fee for using your card, and sometimes it doesn't work (as is my case; my bank didn't like it for some reason, so it wouldn't work.)

Otherwise, there's no other way.  You can thank the chargeback for this; and also, that's why PayPal is discouraged, as well.

Thanks everyone for replies. Appreciate it.

L$ was a good idea. But their new policy is you have to have a avatar for min 30 days before you can use CC and buy/trade for BTC.

But still was a very good suggestion.

Looks like bank transfer is only option, really.
