Even if Bitcoin is progressing in value uptrend, and development, it lacks of a wide array of local merchants that accept it. In the US, I have seen several local shops that accept BTC, but it is a very minimal amount when compared to other stores that mostly accept fiat and/or credit cards like Visa. That is why I wonder, why BTC hasn't been greatly adopted by local merchants and retailers worldwide, as it would have a positive effect towards mainstream adoption of it and other digital currencies. Nevertheless, I would like to know if there are local shops around your region or area that would accept BTC.

As of now there is no marketplace in my country that is accepting bitcoins. But there are only people here who are ready to accept bitcoin.
Only if they are going to sell their products individually, but the whole economy of bitcoin here is hidden and we don't even know who are the ones that are bitcoin user.
Because each of the users here are completely hiding their identities but most of us are just using the same bitcoin exchange.

In the Philippines there are no local shops that accepts bitcoin. But online merchants floods the social media selling products and other services in exchange for bitcoin. Filipinos really treats bitcoin as money online seriously and it is well accepted, you can buy shoes, cellphones, beauty products, mobile load, electrical products and many more. Though there are no big stores accepting bitcoin but bitcoin business network is very big online.

We can really see the difference of bitcoin and those traditional ways (fiat, cards etc) since bitcoin is just on its earlier years and as expected not all merchants do accept bitcoin on their businesses and some of countries already ban bitcoin to enter on their country adoption is really lessen.Merchants do really hesitate when it comes to stable value and they dont want to lose money because of bitcoin.

in my country people barely know about bitcoin, let alone accept it as payment in their shop or services. however recently I have been seeing some increases in the bitcoin awareness and it seems like most of it is because of the price rise but in general people are only trading and investing in bitcoin in my country , and nothing more.

We do have a local wallet provider which uses bitcoin but i dont know if there are stores who accept bitcoin as a payment on their businesses because bitcoin is not still popular in my country and a very small percentage only knows about it and i really hope that it would be available soon so that we could able to spend our bitcoin with ease.

It is because bitcoin is rising in value that people arn't spending it, they are hoarding it. So merchants add bitcoin, nobody uses it, and they disable it. IMO it will be an alt that will get used as currency, not bitcoin.

I would like to know if there are local shops around your region or area that would accept BTC. Around me - no BTC accepted. People prefer cash, many stores are accepting no CC. If You need to buy something - thake Euro of 5-10-20 notes. With 50 or 100 You probably will have problems to become the change. (Southern Italy)

In my country for the offline store that accepts bitcoin was only a few and only in the big cities. Lucky for me there are still some online stores that accept bitcoin, and if only for the purchase of electric or phone toll we can buy easily online. Moreover, my country has exchangers which of course is the national language. This course allows us to purchase bitcoin, and there are few market altcoin. Thank you

Except for two coffee shops near my house, not even a single store accepts bitcoin here, not to mention bigger marketplaces. And these two cafe shops, they aren't those giant nor easily recognisable shops. I only know them when my eyes accidentally caught the small bitcoin signs hanging beneath others glowing banners. And that's why people here don't know about those shops as well as bitcoin. I hope this will somehow change in the near future.

In the Internet are present not only shops, but Online Services. For example Adult Webcam Chats, they are attracting many people. Does Your local language present in a multilanguage BTC Chat in my Signature? NSFW

I think https://coinmap.org is place where any enterprenuer startup can register there services to get listed on Coinmap and published. Coinmap is portal where anyone can find region or location with offering services with Bitcoin Payments. You can even find required service which have been offered with BTC. Also you will stumble with https://coinmap.org Dont miss to check your regions with offering services.

It is good we are now seeing pockets of stores accepting BTC, Bitcoin adoption won't happen over night, it is a gradual process, I can see we are in the right direction
