So much for this problem having been resolved.

*Resolved*[Outage#64884] Bitcoin Deposit Delays

Mt.Gox Support

Hello Mt.Gox Users,

Due to slow network, bitcoin deposits are delayed at the moment.  We are working to resolve this and deposit speed should appear after 6 confirmations as usual.  Our apologies once again for the delay and inconvenience caused.  Thank you for your patience while we work to resolve this.

Made a deposit almost 8 hours ago, have over 28 confirmations and still no sign of it in my MtGox wallet. If this is what it's like trying to get funds in - I can only imagine how long it must take to get funds out - let alone cash money!

Im having problems getting cash to them too, the bank they use is apparently overwhelmed. I transffered some coins over to my uk wallet last night took 5 hours, used vricux site last night moving around all my e currency and that took 3 hrs so I dont think its just them suffering. I can see there has been alot of activity which could be a problem. However if they want bticoin to survive and become dominant then these issues need to be fixed, also mtgox should make it easier to for people to buy, not just brokers but everyone the people who actually use it for buying stuff. Setting up an office up in us, uk, eu,russia and asia. Making the currency more readily available will ensure its survival.

That's perfectly understandable. Anything involving fiat currency with commercial banks is always going to be delayed, but with Bitcoins there's none of that to contend with - just confirmations from the Blockchain.

I don't like the idea of MtGox growing any bigger than they already are. One trading floor should not be handling 80% of a supposedly decentralised currency.

have over 28 confirmations and still no sign of it in my MtGox wallet.

37 confirmations turned out to be the magic number. Very tempted to just pull it all back now as what little confidence / hope I had for MtGox is fading very quickly.
