Nice "sensationalism" there. It says the 24 website is having issue, nothing about Bitcoin (the technology) being under attacked.

These thread topics read like FUD.

Ask not what Bitcoin can do for you - ask what you can do for Bitcoin.

another reason why we need bitcoin so bad in current times. No frigging government will simply close your bank account only because they can.

This is typical way polish tax officials work, they can freeze anyone bank account because some bureaucrat think you brake the law (different jurisdiction interpret law different way ), they destroyed hundreds of businesses this way, you can appeal but its take time and usually  you business is gone, when, at the and you win in court , and ofcourse there is no any consequence for person(bureaucrat) who just destroyed someone live and business. I sure people  will able recovery bitcoins they cant do shit about  it, but fiat money its different story, now you see why bitcoins are superior fiat...

Quote
"Banks in Israel against bitcoin ': Jonah Liibzon, Israeli banks are struggling virtual currency holders. In some branches of banks began to restrict this coin changers, whose value soared in recent months, and is not subject to any government control. Bitcoin dealers "are no longer authorized to transfer or receive dollars from Japan, where most trading takes place in the industry."

I suspect Bitcoin-24's main bank account was suspended because bitcoin-24 had no account verification process, so anyone obtaining someone elses banking details could launder thru the exchange.

The exchange flew under the radar, probably just assumed it was just another online business, until it recently attracted a massive glut of new account holders, then the large sums of money wanting to enter the account raised a flag. Then when they saw it was a trade exchange they realised it fell short on regulatory matters.

Providing an exchange abides by all the regulations there will be no legal problems, bitcoins are legal to trade in just the same as baseball cards.
