Can anyone tell me about the causes which make Bitcoin price rise or fall?

Can we guess when it will be the best time to buy or sell it? Can it be forecasted?

The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

- There could be many reasons for pump and dump of bitcoin price which includes political, financial, forex market, demand & supply of bitcoin
- Buy on dumps and sell on pumps is one of the simple rule in bitcoin trading
- It is quite hard for even elite traders to predict bitcoin price however price will tend to increase over time.

So aside from being anonymous and a seperate digital currency, the market always effects Bitcoin value. Right?

Nope, thats absolutely impossible.
Many tried, many have secret formulas, secret knowledge but reality is there are TOO MANY factors that causes price to move.
Thats why its unpredictible, like weather, we know more and more factors to forecast it, it still suprises very very often Smiley

Like forex market, you can predict bitcoin price movement with the help of bitcoin related news and updates that can be anything from Trump getting elected to china conducting investigation on chinese trading platform.

Look at two recent examples;
1. Bitcoin price get dumped after yuan get stronger after really long time.
2. Bitcoin price get dumped again after PBOC start looking inside bitcoin exchanger.

Whenever big governments and banks feel threatened by bitcoin price and or rapid adoption, they decide to somehow crash the market by any means necessary, and since there are 10 big whales holding around 1m bitcoins each see these kind of situations they try to cut any losses as it is possible by dumping in bulks like 1k coins at a time until they realize the community support is strong and they start to buy back cheaper than they sold and that way the changes happen in market.

Because bitcoin is such a small market in the grand scheme of things, it is being controlled by pumper-dumpers. That is why it is moving up and down so rapidly.

With hindsight, a clue we were in a pump was the way bitcoin didn't react to the Fed interest rate hike and just kept going. Every other currency fell against the dollar, including gold. Turns out now that we were being kept high artificially, and the current price is probably the correct one.

Too fast rise, profit taking, inspection of chinese exchanges, some FUD, overreacting market and so on and so on.
There is not one specific reason.
And yes I would see this now as a time to buy.Of course the price could drop further the next days who knows. However if you should be in Bitcoin for the long haul, meaning mucgh more years, it won't matter that much imo.
