I would add that bitcoin is the most known crypto currency among others. There are many crypto currencies on the market now, but bitcoin awakes the most interest and have the most demand today. Other crypto just try to repeat the success of bitcoin.

Looking at the negligible returns offered on cash investments with such high rates offered by banks  you can feel positive about the cryptocurrency, which is now being used for payment by more and more large, medium and small companies.
There are lot of cryptocurrencies now but Bitcoin rules and will be the top 1 for ever.

Good point compared to some banks in my country that offer 1 to 2 percent yearly for maintaining your savings there it makes a lot more sense to keep some savings in bitcoin and receive way bigger returns in months than what you will receive in several years from the banks.

Precious       : If you mean has a high Fiat Conversion , that answer is Yes, mainly due to market manipulation by the Chinese,  


LTC or Doge are faster & cheaper PoW coins and also supported by the Chinese.

You have to go into a Proof of stake coin to find an Alt the Chinese don't control.

Not all crypto currencies are copies of bitcoin, while they came after bitcoin, some coins offer some really nice features that currently bitcoin does not and that means there is a market for those coins since they are covering a need bitcoin does not.

I agree with you. I'd like to add that Bitcoins are the torch bearer and even though  has its own flaws, it brings in our attention to a currency option that not many would have imagined and turned it into reality. It is hard to disagree with that. BTC will be the hot topic in currencies for another 5-10 years. By then if BTC doesnt improve on its flaws and timings, We will see emergence of a better version of Bitcoin. Its all good as BTC will be in history books. The coin that we all cherish.

I'd like to add that Bitcoins are the torch bearer and even though  has its own flaws, it brings in our attention to a currency option that not many would have imagined and turned it into reality. It is the best cause it is popular and have remained ever since . So unlike altcoins who are close to being dump , Bitcoin is somewhat on the last one so It is safest when it come to coin dumping . If we're talking about the features, It's so clear that many altcoins has some upgraded feature than bitcoin doesn't have .

It is actually depends on your capital and how much risk are you willing to take . For me it is better to divide your capital to 70 to 30 . The 70 will go to the already proven and trusted one which is bitcoin and the rest will go to your chosen altcoin .

Have you ever  heard first impression is the best. In the same way among all digital currencies people started to hear bitcoin's name first. Bitcoin - The first digital currency, its anonymous, decentralised etc etc.Bitcoin became the top most currencies among digital currencies. It is certainly worth your time to work with other cryptocurrencies, but in my opinion, only for trade. The benefit for using crypto in trade is that they are a lot more volatile. as you said "right now"? yes it is, but other coins are rapidly coming up to be of same rank and wanting to be at the top of all coin, bitcoin is also secure and worth more value than any other cryptocurrency now...

Anyone who really knows the crytocurrency space will certainly agree that Bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency available on the market, for the reasons you have spoken and also for the fact that all other cryptos competing with Bitcoin do not have the same user base, nor the same level of decentralization.
However, we have to be careful when saying that no other currency could achieve the same level of success, because human knowledge is something that increases at an exponential rate... That's the main reason why Bitcoin needs to have the best developers, If they want the currency to continue to lead the market.

bitcoin wasn't the first cryptocurrency! there was one or two others before it.
and also there aren't any other crypto currencies that are better than bitcoin technically. you may find some interesting features here and there but they always have multiple flaws.
