Agreed ... huge!

Now one thing is needed.  Accurate quotes.  It does show "accumulating data" though.

And the symbol is bad.  It shouldn't be "MTGOXUSD :", it should be maybe MTGOXBTC  ?    (as it is the spot price of a BTC expressed in dollars).    Just like AAPL :NASDAQ is a share of that stock expressed in dollars.

It is too bad there isn't an ETF up and running they could quote.

They probably have to built an interface for gox, but I did miss that why is it BTCUSD? That is weird.

I agree ETF should be in the works, I hope someone that knows how to setup can do that. I may explore that world a bit and see what is going on with ETFs and how to make bitcoin one.

Does it update correctly? Bitcoinity shows a completely different value.

lol, I blame the alcohol.

It seems to be a work in progress then. In a few days it'll probably work as expected.

How cute.

It seems it's not working, though.

All previous versions of currency will no longer be supported as of this update

Sorry, but this is so big, I'm suspicious.

I don't see how this could be faked. Any ideas?

Code:

Well, that's the format for the exchange.  e.g.,   (AAPL :NASDAQ).    But MTGOXUSD has no exchange so it is blank  (MTGOXUSD Smiley

Then clearly it should be (BITCOINUSD :MTGOX) right?

The problem is BTC-e and BitStamp have their own books. Gox has the API (for whatever that's worth) for CNBC to get a direct real-time price that the market is moved by.

Can't wait til this stuff is scrolling on my TV screen and goes blank when Gox goes offline. They are in no way, shape, or form prepared for this.

"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary."
