I was writing support at a gaming site about my deposit not credited after 10 confirmations and attached a screencap of the said transaction in a btc explorer.

When I'm done with the support ticket i went have a look in the btc explorer again and noticed its now 2 confirmations lesser!

How is that even possible I wonder...if tne number of confirmations can do a reversal what is considered save?

Thank you for your time and sorry if this is a simple noob question.

Maybe a glitch of BlockChain.Info wallet?

We had a few orphans recently, might be related to that. considering the number of confirmations we talk about this makes no sense.

-> https://blockchain.info/orphaned-blocks

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

the OP's tx is in block 447934

from blockchain.info's prospective its not linked to orphans. i would say its just blockchain.info having a glitch. it happens from time to time,

usually best to bookmark several 'blockchain explorers' and do comparisons rather than relying on one source of info

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

I've had a few glitches on blockchain.info yesterday.
Like opening the page of a tx and seeing it as confirmed. Then click the link on that page to the wallet where it shows as unconfirmed. Same in the other direction, tx unconfirmed but on the page of the address confirmed. Also a lot of the "maximum request.... please try again later" It is just a hickup

Always check another block explorer when in doubt, like tradeblock or blocktrail.

A glitch in blochchain.info would have been my first guess, I think I remember reading a thread once here where a user had the same problem with screenshots.

We had a few orphans recently, might be related to that.

-> https://blockchain.info/orphaned-blocks
I was unaware that the confirmations from orphan block would even still show up by that stage.
Just ball park, what would be about the maximum number of confirmations that you could see on a tx from an orphaned block?

Yeah, didnt think straight there. Usually we only have orphans one confirmation deep.

22 confirmations and deposit still missing.
Question; Is it possible the delays in me getting my deposit due to this blockchain glitch?

Blockchain.info is just one of many services, confirmations are independed of what information blockchain.info has about the blockchain. If your deposit is missing with some other service, contact their support.

What is the wallet client/provider you are using, with 22 confirmations any wallet should show those coins available in your address buy now.
Do you own the private keys to this address?

I agree that is is really a glitch and there are no more explanations that can described your situation. It could also be your own error possibly you have looked at other older transactions with higher confirmations and when you look at it again you already saw your current transaction with lesser confirmation. So there are only two explanations it is just a glitch or you mistook your older transactions as your current one.

Look at the pics of the transaction, you can clearly see that it is the same transaction with different confirmation totals.

I'm 100% sure that it is blockchain.info glitch because i also faced some problem regarding transaction confirmation on blockchain.info . Problems happens with  blockchain.info time to time so you should also check using other block explorer.

The abovementioned transaction was a transfer i did directly from my local coin seller(coinhako.com) to PocketDie.com.
I've gotten the funds credited into my PocketDie account hours ago. I'm very sure the delays if not due to the glitch at blockchain.info got to be PocketDie.
PocketDie are slacking much in my opinion, and through years of patronage I witnessed PocketDie slipping from bad to worst. Even support tickets are slowervthan before to reply. Replies are ar times irrelevant to ticket subjectbmatters. Sigh...they have been growing rapidly into almost every other casino as a game provider I'm guessing theyre unable to keep up with the speed of their growth its turning PocketDie into PocketPoop.
I still have emails correspondences with PocjetPoop support, clearly showing irrelevant replies. But thats another matter altogether so I'll not go there.

Sorry I wasn't able to properly bbcode photo attachments hence the dropbox URLs. Anybody with privilege able to bbcode it please feel free to edit any of my posts so that the attachments are easily viewable. Thanks again.

The missing deposit was resolved at 22 confirmations. Almost 1 full day later I got to finally scratch my itch & try my luck on for some dice action. If only I'm able to afford to deposit more I definitely would've enjoyed myself more rather than a short 5 minutes try at "one dice roll can change your life".
Still waiting for that life changing moment. Lol
Thank you

Well you are the only person who can edit your posts here so no one can fix the bbcode for the images you posted. Anyway, seems that this issue has alrwady been resolved, it's best if you'll just lock this thread if you no longer have any questions. You can lock this yourself by clicking the lock button below on the lower left of this thread.
