it is fake and be carefull with those kinds of email because could be malware and phising and just look again more thoroughly and this is not from blockchain wallet because look at the top left corner there is email address with gmail.com domain " blockchain.infoservice@gmail.com "

If you know you did not engage on blockchain.info. You know thats a scam. Why dont they give it to you direct to your wallet? And the one thing that makes it a scam is they are asking for fees which is not a necessary thing. Look at this. He has the same situation like you https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1750394.0Beware with this kind of tricks. Scammers are really creative nowadays.

"This bitcoin balance is held until you pay the fee."
It's funny to see how scammers are doing it very hard just to scam people. From that quote of them it is already a scam attempt. Why would you get that amount if you need to pay it, a transaction is already paid with miners fee before you are going to send it to someone. And on their email, @gmail.com you can easily identify it's fake.

This is just a scam attempt and actually really poor attempt which can be detected very easily even by the layman. You have received email from gmail address rather than from blockchain.info email server. You may even get fake/scam mails from email addresses similar to @blockchain.info but you have to look deeper at spelling of that blockchain to differentiate between fake and real one.
Also while using blockchain.info web wallet, you better check the URL and security certificate. There are numerous fishing sites with blockchain web wallet template.

just ignore that email and you are safe, don't even think that after you pay the fee, you can get that amount of bitcoin because that is want to scam you and you need to be careful for this. this is just small thing in the email that make people get scammed without they know if its real or true so be careful.

There is a screenshot, Thanks https://i.imgsafe.org/8898aaba9f.pngBesides the fact that the blockchain.info wallet never sends any email if it isn't an authorization code r a backup, blockchain does not have a feature that they will send an email everytime you rwceive a transaction. That is a complete bullshit.

Its clearly fake but I'm more interested in knowing how they got your email in the first place ? I've seen lately some people receiving phishing attempts while they have never used their email in shady websites and that's make me think about the possibility of legit bitcoin services selling our credentials to third parties.

There is a screenshot, Thanks https://i.imgsafe.org/8898aaba9f.pngFirst of all the email isn't looking professional, for your information blockchain using custom email like @blockchain.com so it's clearly they're not owned that email. I personally stared and added the blockchain official email to my contact so i will know whether it's fake or real, as we know that they thief will try harder to fake the blockchain's mail, the thing that i'm afraid of they will create similar verification mail like theirs and send it to you. Anyway make sure to move that mail to spam ohh one more, the site phishes to the top of search results so never type the blockhain in google, just advising.

Thats bullshit. Dont buy it. This just another trick to scam people. I saw a lot of this. They create phishing links to catch details about you including your email address. And obviously you entered phishing link. And also blockchain.info is not doing that kind of thing. They will announce that publicly. Plus they are asking you to pay for fee. Thats obviously a fake.

It is kind of bait just to target you to pay some bitcoins in the name of fees.
"This bitcoin balance is held until you pay the fee"
I just think from a newbie mindset, they would have been ready to pay some 0.001 to 0.01 bitcoins as fee just for the reason of getting 1.51 bitcoins. (assuming they may not know how escrow is working).
It must be a well planned scam. Thanks OP for sharing and giving a warning to many people here. I guess we must issue warning on this type of scams in beginners and help section.

This will be of great help to some and will be alert to the scammers, unfortunately they are in this forum, any measure that is taken they also know Its clearly fake but I'm more interested in knowing how they got your email in the first place ? Just some scammers try to phish you or make you send coins to a address by showing fake transaction. Never click those links. Stay safe.

New age scam. I have never seen a mail like this in my mailbox. Blockchain doesn't send an e-mail when you receive a payment. Please be careful don't click anything in the mail. Scan your computer with an antivirus program.
Your topic is also a warning for all of us.

When I receive such things in my mail I didn't open and delete it. Sometimes I receive some messages like that, all from scammers trying something to steal us. Besides Blockchain.info doesn't send this kind of email, any email like that, saying that you earned huge money without reason is suspicious and if you didn't have the big luck, it's a total lie. There are many people receiving these emails, they feel very lucky and excited, just illusion unfortunatelly...

Stay away. Don't let yourself get taken with that 1.5= BTC amount. You very well know it's an obvious scam attempt. A copycat email supposedly from blockchain, asking for a "fee" so you'd get some "amount". Too many red flags. "This bitcoin balance is held until you pay the fee." lol. haha.

And more so, one unique thing about bitcoin transaction is that it cannot be reversed when sent not to talk of having a pending delivery status. I want to believe you didn't fall for such childish scam because if you do then your coins has gone for eternity.
