I had some funds in MtGox, and I didn't execute any trade. I was planning to get that 1 BTC back.
However when I logged in just now, I realized my 1 BTC has become 0.989... BTC

I found this to be strange (well not much stranger than funds disappearing on other exchanges)
I went to trade history and sure enough there was a trade that I didn't do. How is this possible?

I have 2FA so there were no withdrawls.

This is magical!

1. Either you did it / someone did it on you behalf who you know, and forgot / you did it while you were drunk
2. Your account is compromised, and the person who knows it is waiting for you to deposit more btc. This hacker mistakenly executed a trade and tried to cover up.

If it is #2, consider yourself lucky, and change the password to something strong.

1 seems unlikely. I mean I have been posting quite sane messages on this forum at that time, so I'm obviously not drunk. 2 is a possibility, how to know for sure? Shouldn't MtGox provide me the IP addresses etc of where this order came from?

Sorry bro, during the lag i couldn't trade my account, so i logged into yours and tried to trade it.  It was so laggy too, but trades were going thru from your account and i was really jonesin for some btc trade action.  I thought i could neutralize it but, i bought hi and sold low.  I thought about just draining your account, but the site crashed before gox posted the w/d.

Who uses "Bitcoin" for that password anyway!  Grin

In their PR, they said that all orders that were in queue before the shutdown would be executed once the server's up. Did you put that order in the queue or something?

I did play with orders earlier on 11th but all my sell orders were above 100. No buy orders.

Due to lag, I took off all my BTC from MtGox, then just today I transferred 1 BTC back to check if MtGox is back to normal. So even if there were previous orders, they should have been removed as soon as I got my funds out.

You may want to check local security at this point. PC may be compromised.
