Not having the expertise or time, I want to just send some cash
or bitcoins to a group... buy into someone elses mining.
is there any group I can trust to share the spoils with me?

I'm wondering, what's the difference between this and simply buying some bitcoins on an exchange?  You're basically funding the mining that someone else did..

or depending how much you wanted to invest id do it im not a big time miner but im slowly getting bigger and bigger and have ASICS on order and manage to pull in around 2 btc a month
