I have saw a number of Coins which do not have any ICO can I know what are they starting for? Is there any benefit to the Developer with that coin? Or they just start it as their hobby?

You mean the Satoshi model? It legitimizes the opensource nature of Devs who care about such things.

This the best model) Most of ICO raised huge amounts of money. But the question arises why so much?

It is not about "benefiting" the Developer. It is about a currency being made and used.. some how. I couldn't care less if some coin project benefits a developer or not. Need money ? Get a job.. i hear McDonalds is hiring.

I think he is not serious to make coins, just kidding. just because one reason why spertinya ico on the need to start the coin because ico that investors get together and know with the aim of coins will be like for the future.

When a coin is launched fairly then a dev can go and mine / buy the coin etc like any other person. ..like Satoshi did.
There is no need for a rigged coin system.

The reality is both methods can be gamed by the founders.
1. ICO - invest into your own project and get your Bitcoins back, and get free "New Coin" coins. 2. Mining - instamine / stealth mine / premine before the market gets on your project.
and they get away with it all the time. Look at the top 20 projects on CMC and the vast majority fall under #1 or #2 above.

All about money, in conclusion, the dev has some of the stock. You can see Zcash, they were starting it without an ICO.
I don't think there are the teams were starting it caused by the pure hobby. But too rarely to find that.

I partly agree. However, I am not that sure that btc launch was fair. Just look the amount of coins satoshi has...

That's not due to an unfair launch, it just turned out to be an unfair outcome to latecomers due to circumstances outside the developer's controls--mainly it was a small group of people that understood the technology and an even smaller group who put value on that technogy--can't blame the launch for that or the amount of time it took more people to get it. I guess satoshi could donate the funds to some sort of airdrop, but that will likely create metadata that can be linked backed to him or the group that uses the pseudonym--to use a cliché: it is what it is.

Coins that do not offer ico tends to have a good support in the community, because they are not asking for any one's money, but they cannot offer platform to thier users only coins with wallet,I prefer coins without an ico because the risk is to high especially if it is newbie announced

How ? Because a dev has a mining farm and will rape mine the coin on launch ? Well.. we all have that same OPPORTUNITY now don't we ? A fair coin launch fairly is fair . A rigged coin is rigged. ICO = SCAMPS: Miners are securing the block chain / keeping it moving and are INVESTING in hardware showing real support. They mine and get a reward for it. Not comparable to ICO scams.. AKA: all of them. Don't blur the issue saying "Close enough" Mined coins have value.. ICO coins have none. One was earned by doing a needed and valuable task and the other is a scammy Pyramid scheme token for profits on centralized exchanges that should not exist who collect your picture ID and rat you out to the US govt.

How a coin starts is unimportant in the grand scope of things. The most important thing is "who" is starting it and "why".
Too many people in this forum are under the false impression that the dev is of paramount importance, or that a certain ICO formula will lead to its success. This is categorically untrue, false, total hogwash.
Bitcoin, the most popular cryptocurrency on earth, started without an ICO and its dev disappeared more than 6 years ago.
I wish more of you would come to realize the opportunity we have to change the entire world's money supply. We are at the dawn of a cryptocurrency revolution, yet most people here do not realize it.
It's time that we all wake up from this sleep and come together and bravely build this new world. And we don't need 10,000 different cryptocoins to make that happen.

WOW ..what generalizethis said Lets not forget that the early first days Satoshi did the work and earned the reward. Those handful of guys were a more coveted valuable miner than i would be mining today. They needed people to get it off the ground. Those first handful of guys stepped up and provided the hardware and invested the time etc to secure the chain and get the system flowing. THEY WORKED FOR IT ! WORK = REWARD..more valuable work = greater reward ( common sense) ICO shitheads work for fuck all ! They are not "providing" anything other than profits to govt controlled centralized shady exchanges that all eventually go down with "I wuz haxed" stories.

I think that if starting a coin without ICO project, we must pay some certain fees for founders in mining that coin and certainly they need some money for that coin's maintenance fees.

Good developers cryptocurrency can survive without ICO, most ICO's launched by noobs with errors, beta versions, they use all the investors money to fix their stupid errors.

I don't support ICOs as most, if not all of them, are scams! But, if satoshi and the lauch of BTC would have been fair, the reward in the early blocks would have been small.

Re: What is the benefit of starting a Coin without any ICO? People will automatically assume its not a scam? That could be a good start. Doesn't always work out but what the hay.
