With 5 SP30 you barely make 100$/month with free electricity if I'm not mistaken. The 2k/month is a ridiculous claim.
Nobody would sell something that could ROI in under 2 months when most of the market does it in 8+ months.

its her ex bfs rig that she broke up with and has a restraining order. She has the parts in her house in her garage and she said she remembers making 2k on it. But she doesnt want have the time and shes a nurse so she said shes makes good money. Her excuse was its too much work to maintain. But even though if i do buy can i sell the parts and get my money back on the 3400?

No. Clearly if she were making 2000 on it it was a long time back, not nowadays. Even if you were to sell it you wouldn't get close to 3400. Depends what brand the psus are, but even then I wouldn't even consider it. You might get around 3000 but that's still a little bit more than what most people would offer. Depends what brand the gridseed and zeusminers are as well.

the anminer s9 cost more than that, it is sitting at 2k+ usd, i don't know if right now the second hand can be seen at $1500, maybe it's possible but not really a good comparison

maybe he can buy second hand s7 if his electricity is not a costly

Well how much is your electricity per kilowatt? Might be feasible to run but if it isn't then your only hope is to sell. I'd say you could get above 1500 with just the SP30s alone. Other stuff is also an easy buck if you sell on ebay, people buy way over retail there.

If you have very cheap electricity might make some profit on it.
