As a communities i see groups of people communicating. Like here we are part of bitcointalk community.   When I am on some slack I am part of that community. When I am on some IRC I am part of that community.  Oh I am also member of Poloniex Trollbox community.

Recentely i had a discussion with some people, who stated they did not feel part of a community or even considered a community
being possible that could evolve around a cryptocurrency. I found this rather odd as i feel strongly connected to a community of the
cryptocurrency i am interested in (Dash).

I do realise i will never get in touch with the whole Dash crypto community, due to language barriers and the community being spread
over different forums (BCT, Dash.org, Reddit, Slack), but i still have a strong feeling of being part of a community.

If you are interested in participathing in this little poll of mine then please vote for option yes or no and describe in a reply how you voted and why.

As far as I know at the time we decided to register in this forum and participate in every thread. We are already a part of the community, especially if there are other members here are responding to our question. We have a relation to the community here.

I consider myself as a part of bitcoin community because I believe in it, use it as currency, have invested in bitcoin since I believe in it and also I am running a full node to contribute to the network.

but the crypto community in general which also consists of altcoins, no because I don't want anything to do with most of the altcoins apart from trading them to get more bitcoin.

I got that feeling since I started contributing to OpenBazaar's code in March 2016 and also wrote some posts on how to set it up which helped tons of people. I also met many crypto folks through my Bitcoin-related blog so yeah, I definitely feel like part of a crypto community.

I started feeling part of the Bitcoin community the moment I was introduced to mining, I've never looked back and it's been an unending feeling since then. It's been intensified by my joining this forum as I get to contribute and interrelate with others on issues about our Bitcoin community.
