I am new and for years I was thinking bitcoin is just an e currency like Liberty reserve and just this month I found out that it is not.

I am still learning how all of this work, and in the meantime I am asking how and where to buy and sell bitcoin ?

Thanks.

Which country are you in? If you're like myself and live in the U.K. then it is quite difficult. I've found good success with localbitcoins.com and only dealing with reputable sellers and buyers. Otherwise, most people use MtGox but it has its problems.

This is probably the most frustrating thing about Bitcoin when it should be straightforward.
