In my opinion Shimomura was probably has some important part in developing the bitcoin technology. Since it is very possible that the name Satoshi Nakamoto is actually a group of developers and not a single individual. But if he is part of the team he should make some innovations to solve the current issues on bitcoin so it could be useful to local shops when the confirmation will become more faster.

In my opinion Shimomura was probably has some important part in developing the bitcoin technology. Since it is very possible that the name Satoshi Nakamoto is actually a group of developers and not a single individual. That's true, Satoshi Nakamoto can be a group of members but in my view Satoshi is a individual who just made the initiation of the technology.

Yeah you are right, it doesn't really matter who or what satoshi actually is... thats just the case of basic human need for closure, curiosity and knowledge. I wouldn't change a thing if all knew what happened to bitcoin founding father or fathers
I just stumbled upon this Tsutomu person and the fact that there is so little information about him made me wonder.
There is that myth about him being able to finger hack a cell phone during congress committee...
Just thought that I will combine his name and Satoshis because google suggests that no one ever did this before.
I'm probably wrong but nevertheless its an interesting character.

I would expect the real Satoshi Nakamoto to have a background in economics, politics cryptography.

As well as some interest in humanitarianism and social affairs.

Shimomura doesn't fit the profile.

We might have at least 50 Nakamoto candidates in next 10 years. There is no way to identify the real Satoshi unless he is able to move bitcoins from his wallet which was used to receive rewards of mining in early days. However, It's interesting to see that how these candidates represents themselves as satoshi.

maybe even a day trader on FOREX as well, its possible. tokyo is the center of exchange in Asia but this is if he really from Japan.
there were people who carefully studied his writings in the forum and they come up some considerable conclusion base on what they noticed. they conclude Satoshi is from Europe as far as i can remember.

I doubt Shimomura is Nakamoto, and I am of the opinion Nakomoto is an individual, a group of individuals can't keep quite about their identity for that long, since there will be one among them that love the limelight and will like to wallow in the glory.

Thanks to Satoshi Nakamoto for this great gift to humanity called Bitcoin, but I think Bitcoin has moved on from Satotoshi era now.

another "maybe" nakamoto is reveal but i don't think that he is the real nakamoto because we don't know who is the real satoshi nakamoto as the real person don't want to show his self. i think that satoshi nakamoto is like a group which is many people involve in one project that called bitcoin, and then the group don't want to show who are they but i am sure that the hidden group is live in somewhere in underground or another community that maybe we've already know but we are not sure.

For me i only believe Satoshi Nakamoto is the founder of bitcoin, maybe Shimura got part on how create blockchain or other stuff, but I only care about the creator of bitcoin, bitcoin is the one that help me through difficult time , so I will only believe satoshi Nakamoto as the founder and savior

For me Satoshi Nakamoto is not its real name, you will agree with that I think. Why would one choose a pseudonym ? To hide its identity. For a maximum efficiency, this nickname must not have any kind a connection to your real one, because that would do what everyone is doing here : searching for Asian computer scientists. And if he is really an Asian (a common hypothesis considering so many names are Asian), he could be found. For this reason, I think that Satoshi Nakamoto is a nickname far from its real name, and thus Satoshi is not an Asian, and thus Tsutomu Shimomura is not Satoshi.
