I just ordered some R4s and I have an APW3 on a 220 outlet, can I run 2 R4s on that one power supply?

I have a couple of APW3s so is running one power supply for each R4 better?

Should I just bite the bullet and get an APW5?

A single R4 can pull between 845-921W, the APW3 is rated to 1600W regardless of input voltage.

You can check my sig for some very good alternatives to the APW5 as well.  I have a DPS-4K PSU that could power 4x R4's, or the IBM 2880W that could power 3 of them.

IBM 2880W is not suitable for home due to noise.  DPS-4K is overkill for 2 units, but leaves room for expansion if you wanted to go that route.  Economically speaking it's a toss-up (in comparison to APW5), but there's nothing wrong with Bitmain's PSU's. If you have APW3's use them!
