Welcome to the SECOND ANNUAL BitcoinTalk community auction to see YOUR NAME minted on the NEW 2017 Bitcoin Penny™ Commemorative Coin!

Once again, we're auctioning off the space for YOUR NAME (or initials) to be minted on the NEW 2017 Bitcoin Penny™ Commemorative Coin!

What does that mean?

Our inaugural 2015 Bitcoin Penny™ Commemorative Coin (SOLD OUT) had the initials "CJB" minted below the date on the front of the coin. And last year for our 2016 release, we had the grand idea to auction off the same space to one lucky BitcoinTalk community member. The winner and high-bidder of that first annual 2016 auction was DaveF, and he chose to have the word "DAVE" minted on the fronts of all our standard mint 2016 Bitcoin Penny™ Commemorative Coins! (SOLD OUT) And so, our 2016 Bitcoin Penny™ Commemorative Coins featured his name...right on the front! (See the photo above.)

TRIVIA: That's why our standard mint 2016 Bitcoin Penny™ Commemorative Coin is commonly called... the DAVE coin!

In the same tradition of last year, we're minting ONE LUCKY WINNER'S choice of NAME / INITIALS on the fronts of all our standard mint* 2017 Bitcoin Penny™ Commemorative Coins! (That's a few thousand coins!) That's right! The highest bidder in this auction will win the privilege of seeing his / her short name or initials of choice minted on the fronts of at least TWO THOUSAND of our new 2017 Bitcoin Penny™ Commemorative Coins!

What might that look like? Let's see a few examples using some of our recent Bitcoin Penny™ customers:

If forum member chronicsky wins, he might choose to mint "SKY" on our 2017 Bitcoin Penny™ Commemorative Coin. Perhaps greenplastic will win and choose to have "GP" minted on our coin, or buckrogers might win and choose "BUCK" to be minted. The possibilities are endless!**

No-Sniping Rule / Grace Period: There will be a grace period of ten (10) minutes following the last bid. When ten (10) minutes pass without a new bid, the auction will be officially ended. For example, if someone places a bid on January 31 at 9:55PM, then the auction will extend until 10:05PM. If another bid is placed at 10:03PM, then the auction extends until 10:13PM (and so forth).

*NOTE: This auction is for our standard mint coin only, which shall comprise the majority of our 2017 Bitcoin Penny™ Commemorative Coins with a guaranteed minimum quantity of 2,000 minted and released.

**NOTE: We reserve the right to refuse any choice of initials which we deem to be morally offensive (ex. ASS) or unfavorable to bitcoin or the bitcoin community. Additionally, each new year must be represented by a new name or set of initials. Since "CJB" and "DAVE" have been used for years 2015 and 2016 (respectively), those choices are invalid for the 2017 Bitcoin Penny™ Commemorative Coin.

Additionally, to insure that your winning NAME choice is legible on the final product, we suggest a maximum of four (4) characters. In rare cases, we MAY be able to fit up to five (5) characters, but only if that NAME choice contains more than one skinny character, such as "MIIIS" or similar.
