Would be positive if that's the opinion of the country itself not just few investors, China looked like the new bitcoin hub before until it discouraged - if not disallowed - purchase of digital money before "that seems to have changed again".
Anyhow lets keep this one under observation.

Pakistan is known for competing and fighting with India over everything - there is even India vs. Pakistani cricket rivalry going on.
I bet Pakistani people realized that Indians are investing hard in bitcoin so the only natural response would be following their steps.
I am glad that their animosity will be reforged into something good - progress of bitcoin adoption.

If this happens then it will be good for bitcoin community but at this moment, I don't think that it would be possible. It will take long time for pakistan; on other hand China and India are already established as a major market for Bitcoins.

It's really a good thing that thanks to Bitcoin Pakistani freelancers can now easily be paid for their work. Btw I didn't know before reading the article that Pakistan is ranked 3rd on freelance websites.

Well, generally speaking highly-populated countries become bitcoin hubs with time... Phillipines, India, China etc.
Plus the fact that Asia is a freelance hub - no doubt PayPal, Skrill, bitcoins and the likes will be highly sought after.

It all depends on what stance the government takes. Pakistan may have a large internet savvy population, high remittances and high inflation - factors which could fuel Bitcoin adoption. But if the government takes an anti-Bitcoin stance, it could become very difficult.
