( I lost :-P )
Seriously though, if you're in the NYC area and want to get your Bitcoin fix, hang out with some like-minded people, or are new to Bitcoin and want to get an idea of what it's all about, definitely go to one of these meetings. All sorts of topics are brought up. You can ask whatever you want, the discussions are unrestricted and open, and I guarantee that someone will know something about whatever you're specifically interested in. Most times, someone knows A LOT about it.
I've gotta say, since I've gone, I've been exposed to some very interesting Bitcoin-related projects, and also some very innovative ways of doing things I already knew about. Also, my girlfriend get's a break from having to hear me rant on and on about Bitcoin... so I think it has helped with my relationship a bit too
Attendance is up every week. We started with about 10 guys the first week, and I think we had about 20+ last week... the Bitcoin community is growing here in New York City
I'm looking forward to discussing merchant acceptance with all you guys this Thursday! Let's see if we can get some stores in manhattan to join in on the fun...
