I'm able to access the website just fine , I checked almost every page except the wallet one as I don't have an account there and everything is working , and nothing has been announced on their twitter account either. It definitely shows how unimportant peoples money are for them.
That is standard happening when you rely on third party/ies to hold and operate your bitcoins. They just don't care about people.

Keeping a desktop wallet is always recommended over web ones as are more secure and rarely if not at all they do experience such problems. Even so, the bug is fixed within few hours from the developers (talking specifically about Electrum).
