No, just this one for the project. We already did quite some work on the core itself, so we can continue development under frugal budget by either the research grants or partly through our own input as we have done the past years. Our main goal is to provide the technology to the community and its developers, help grow the network and offer support.

What are other project's advantages for investors in addition to hybrid tokens?

In addition to what agent725 mentions; the tokens themselves can be traded as well. During the fundraiser, they are distributed at a discount.

For technical users, 5 different wallets would be possible. With Internet of Coins, you have them together in one environment, where you do not need to host all the blockchains of the currencies. So for instance, deterministic transactions can be proxied. Plus, the currencies would be interchangeable with each other. We are designing the system to include all currencies through recipes. (Like the one user gramen made in this thread.)

We believe it is worth something to create a coherent decentralized environment out of all the blockchain technologies that are available. For instance, you can create more consensus security. We do not earn fees from this system. In the future, it is possible for anyone to create products on top of the objective environment we are building.

We´ve started working on this quite a while ago before the fork, for the fundraiser we just made a choice based on variety and market cap.
As stated we intend to support all valuesystems, so in time ETC will be added as well

Can you provide a comparison of the functionality the developers of Internet of Coins envision with that of other Value Transfer Protocols currently being developed such as Cosmos and to some extent Qtum?  Besides just functionality, what are the key differences in the actual application and usage of internet of coins when compared to the other protocols being developed?

Hi mattaero, good question, thanks.

It is possible other projects overlap in functionality with ours. For example, we provide a way to work with assets from an easy to use interface, and Waves, Cosmos and Qtum are doing the same.

Two key differences I can think of are that we do not have need of our own blockchain, and offer a way for people to use hybrid assets. We are working on documentation where you can find a lot more information. We'll post here in the thread when we have it ready.

Qtum bridges BTC and ETH. Cosmos is pegged ledgers. Waves is pegged ledgers. Cool things, and Internet of Coins bridges every blockchain real core, to the bone!
